Letter to Editor Congratulations to the Legion Dear Editor. Had the opportunity to attend and participate in the Legion Chili Cookoff Saturday, September 14. I would like to offer my con- gratulations not only to the win- ners, but to the organizers as well. It was obvious to everyone the work and effort put into organiz- ing this event. Other organizers may take stock of the events going on in the Le- gion parking lot. There was great entertainment (music and oth- erwise), a iiia and orderly run beer garden and su- per prizes for all in- volved. We may well appreciate the great number of projects the Legion does for the town. I felt quite happy to be allowed to participate in one of these projects. Congratulations to Dave Grundy, Shirley Smith and Tim Alce. and all executive members of the Le- gions for trying something new in town and doing it right (lots of fun and inexpensive). Well be back next year.
