Making plgs of themselves were 18 representatives of local organizations at the Fair's cow -
pie eating contest. The pies (chocolate and banana, in case you were wondering) had to be
completely devoured in order to qualify for the prize donations to the organizations. Winning
the pig out was Paul Swartzentruber, with Doug Miners in second and Rosemary Straw in third.
Attendance at the fair
was slightly down
from last year's lev-
els. But organizers
say that the crowds
were still in keeping
with averages over
the past five years.
