for new minister held in Kirkton

GRANTON - At the 108th Anni-
versary of St. Thomas' Anglican
Church on Sunday, the Rev. Ste-
phen Emery celebrated the Euchar-
ist and his message was about no
justification for sin or the transgres-
sion of God's love. Scott Hodgins
and the minister read the lessons.
Special music was provided by the
Arise Group from London.
The induction service and cele-
bration for the new ministry of the
Reverend Stephen James Emery as
the rector of St. Paul's Church,
Kirkton, St. Thomas' Church, Gran-
ton and St. Patrick's Church, Saints -
bury, was held at Kirkton on Sun-
day evening.
Signs of Ministry were presented
to the new rector by representatives
form the three congregation.
At the Granton United Church on
Sunday, Pastor Normalie Voakes
entitled her sermon "Faith for To-
day". The lessons were from Mark
4 and 2nd Corinthians 5. Sunday
School awards were presented to
the following children. Susan
Bryan and Kelly Waters ninth bars;
Jenny Beake seventh bar; Berna-
dine Kop 11th bar; Benny Kop sev-
enth year bar; Tiffany Blom second
seal; Matthew McRobert second
seal; Tyler Riddell, Katherine

ZURICH - A good attendance of

To conserve water the Exeter Public Utilities will limit the use of

Effective immediately and until further notice, the following
schedule for the use of hoses will be permitted.
Residential Customers (households)
Sunday to Saturday inclusive
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Commercial Customers (businesses)
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
9a.m.to11 am.
Some customers are watering lawns and gardens at the rear of
their house during the restricted hours. Customers disregard -
ring the restriction periods will be given one reminder of the re-
striction and if there is a reoccurrence the customer risks a
fine, or having their pressure reduced, that would eliminate wa-
tering with a hose for the balance of the summer.
The commission does not wish to curtail any customers water-
ing, but in fairness to all customers that adhere to the restric-
tion it must enforce this policy.
The co-operation of all customers will be appreciated.
