SHIPKA- There will be another
euchre party March 6, at Shipka
Community Centre at 8 p.m.
Harold and Lucille Vincent recent-
ly returned from a three week holi-
day in Florida, visiting in the Sara-
sota area with their daughter Lori
and son-in-law Kevin Brown. -
Those from this area who attended
the complimentary dinner for Sen-
iors served by Grand Bend Lioness
Club Thursday night, at Grand Bend
Legion Hall, were Melvin and Ger-
tie Stade, Lorne and Dorothy Fen-
ner and Hugh and Annie Morenz.
Friday, ladies in this area attended
the "World's Day of Prayer" service
at Church of God in Grand Bend.
Other churches attending were Im-
maculate Heart of Mary Catholic
Church, St. John's Anglican, Grand
Bend United and Calvary United
from Dashwood.
Ladies in Shipka and south and
east of town, attended the service at
Mount Carmel Catholic Church,
with those from Greenway United
and Crediton United.
A triple birthday party was held
an afternoon last week, by the
Birthday club card players group, at
the home of Melvin and Gertie
Stade. Birthday celebrants were Ed
Stebbins, Melvin Stade and Emil
Becker.
With Ken Baker for the weekend
were Sandra and Tony Regier,
Chris, Heather and Jill, of Mount
Clemens. Joining them all on Sat-
urday afternoon for a visit was Ken
Jr. Baker, of Godcrich, Bonnie Bak-
er and friend of London, and Gary,
Sheona and Jeffrey Baker of Shipka.
