July 23 .« '` 't . 1 i / ,•t , , N • •i When Sandy was 3 Sheeba is 3 and really smiling Janet Fox, beloved wife of Eugene Fox, Zurich, passed into the Presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on June 15, 1988. The following is a tribute to her memory and her faith. OUR JAN Now laid to rest beneath the still sod, lies Janet Alice Noma Fox, wife, mother, daughter, friend, and faithful servant of God. Never a stranger to suffering, shortcoming and pain, she now at long last has entered that Rest her Savior assures is no loss, but great gain. Though taken from us, she is now, we are sure, in the sweet Presence of Jesus, her Lord she loved dear. • Our hearts know great loss, but hers? Not at all! For all Jan had hoped for is now hers in her Savior, her Great Treasure, her All. Health, peace and joy, release from all pain. are now Jan's forever, with every great gain. But what of ourselves - husband, children, mom: family and friend§? What is there for us who have suffered such loss? What of our grief, emptiness and pain? Have we only our memories of one we'll not see again? Well, let's hear Jan's own wit- ness, the Light of her life - what brought her so well through sorrow, pain and great strife. What says she herself to us now in our grief? Can we doubt the least bit what word she would give? Can we question her counsel as to how we should live? Can we doubt she would say: "Put your trust in Christ Jesus - and do it today." No, we're not all alone in our grief, in our loss. For the Savior is here, he who died all elenc' on that terrible cross. And we now go free, overcoming in him any pain, any loss Our Christ took the pain, and we have the gain. But greatest of all, in God's "little while," (and this brings a smile) our Savior will come, Winging -An find 1411 Ills, united forever In heavenly bis LBW now think," Jan would say, "of those yet still lost - having only false hopes, not yet saved through Christ's cross." her message Is clear, "but care for yourselves, you I hold dear.' 'Weep for yourselves, for your sin, shame and fear, and seek the face of my Savior; for he yet is so near.' Yes, let us respond, let not Jan's witness be lost; let us give Christ ourselves, for he paid our Great Cost. Then we'll rejoice In great hope, and sing faith's Grand Song: Christ soon will appear, it will not he long.
