The following ladies of the W.M.S. took part in the service: president Mrs. Edna Simmons - the Call to Wors'hip and the prayer of Adoration; Mrs. Bea Ersman - prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon; an explanation of the banner displayed in the Church with the Logo "Go and Tell" was given by Mrs. Floy Foreman. A history of the W.M.S. (W.D.) was prepared by Mabel Stanlake and read by Maybelle Cann. It seemed appropriate to remember some of the stalwart, compassionate and ded- icated women who served their Lord and our society so faithfully. Of particular' interest was the memory of Margaret Strang Savage who grew up on a farm in Western Onta- rio, and Caven Church, Exeter, was her home church. She received her medical degree from Western Onta- rio University, London, Ontario. In 1931 -she began her mission provid- ing health of body, mind and spirit to the people of Peace River coun- trYIn telling the children's story pas- tor Gaskin explained to the Sunday School students the meaning of the word "missionary" and their work in helping others. Mrs. Hazel Pryde read the prayer of Illumination and the Scripture lessons Deuteronomy 6:4-8, Psalm 67 and John 14:23-29. The choir anthem A Whole New Me was led by the organist Sharon McNeilly. The message Pastor Gaskin pre- sented in the homily was centered on the theme "Go and Tell" told in John 14 verse 27 Jesus said "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: Go and Tell" expressing that this spirit of obedience in ac- tion has been visible in the Wom- en's Missionary Society (W.D.) since 1914. The prayer of Thanksgiving was given by Norah Taylor.
