HENSALL - We welcomed Joyce
Pepper, Monday afternoon as pia-
nist at choir practice. Residents
played Bingo in the evening with
the 'Presbyterian ladies. We regret
we've only had them for April.
Those April bingos were a lot of
fun:
Tuesday Reverend Stojokovic of
Dashwood Lutheran Church led our
worship service with his wife
JoAnn as pianist.
Residents worked out Wednesday
morning at Fun and Fitness fol-
lowed by games. Those who still
had energy enjoyed walks outdoors
in the beautiful sun and fresh air.
Marie Flynn and her Huron
Strings entertained us at our April
birthday party. We all had a wonder-
ful time listening to all of our Old
Tyme favourites. Birthday greetings
to John McCowan, Kathleen Gil-
lespie, Muriel Gunning, Albert Mi-
azga, Murray Howe, Edison For-
rest, Ross • Thompson, Clayton
Mathers, Dora Hogarth and Reta
Upshall.

MILTON - What do you get
when you combine 1,500 4 -Ii
Ho•nemaking Club members from
several counties of Ontario and the
Ontario Agricultural Museum near
Milton? - an extremely rewarding
Achrevemcnt Program to end our
"Working with Wool" project!
Two 4-H clubs from Zurich
boarded the bus on April 29 for the
two-hour grip to the museum, pick-
ing up a friendly group of Kippcn
4-1-lcr's along the way.
Upon arriving at the Agricultural
Museum, several of our members
tried their hand at carding fleece,
spinning with a drop spindle and
spinning wheel, and weaving on a
loom. Perhaps the day's most en-
joyable demonstration came in the
form of a sheep dog trial featuring
three beautifully trained border col-
lies working four skittish sheep
into their fold.
Another highlight was the sheep-
shearing demonstration. The Zurich
girls got a birds -eye view of the
shearing, perched on top of bales of
straw in the Wachter -Riley barn.
Arc you interested in the next 4-1-1
project? It's called "Let's Land-
scape!" Members will learn how to
create a landscape design and choose
the plants to, go in it! A •visit to a
local nursery is a recommended ac-
tivity. If you want to join or wish
more information, please contact
before Monday, May 8 Sylvia Neel)
at 236-4042 or Diane Wilds at 236-
