Residents worked out Wednesday morning at Fun and Fitness fol- lowed by games. Those who still had energy enjoyed walks outdoors in the beautiful sun and fresh air. Marie Flynn and her Huron Strings entertained us at our April birthday party. We all had a wonder- ful time listening to all of our Old Tyme favourites. Two 4-H clubs from Zurich boarded the bus on April 29 for the two-hour grip to the museum, pick- ing up a friendly group of Kippcn 4-1-lcr's along the way. Upon arriving at the Agricultural Museum, several of our members tried their hand at carding fleece, spinning with a drop spindle and spinning wheel, and weaving on a loom. Perhaps the day's most en- joyable demonstration came in the form of a sheep dog trial featuring three beautifully trained border col- lies working four skittish sheep into their fold. Another highlight was the sheep- shearing demonstration. The Zurich girls got a birds -eye view of the shearing, perched on top of bales of straw in the Wachter -Riley barn.
