Murray who each had a pair and Ke-
vin Leitch, Muir, Wcishar, and
Todd Hayter each picked up one as-
sist each.
In Friday night's contest, referee
Bob Beatty cracked down on Mitch-
ell's rough antics in the first period
and called the Hawks for 11 minor
penalties in the first period, while
Lucan had only four calls against
them. •
A lack of offence proved costly to
the Hawks as well and they fired
only 20 shots at Irish nctminder
Brad Judd in the game, but four
went behind Judd for goals. Jeff
Redfern stopped 23 of 29 shots that
were fired his way in the Mitchell
net.
Graham Hutton paced the Lucan
attack Friday night with a pair of
goals, while singles went to Muir,
Schram, John McEachem and Dar-
ren Neil.
Schram, Dean Docrr and Denomy
each picked up a pair of assists,
while Barnes and Muir had one as-
sist each.
The victory in the series proved
costly to the Irish however, as they
lost goaltender Doug Haskctt for -six
weeks with torn knee ligaments and
Dave Murray for the rest of the year
with a broken wrist suffered in Fri-
day night's garne.
The Irish will now play the Exet-
er Hawks in the division semi-final
starting Wednesday, (tonight) at the
Lucan Arena. The Irish will spend
St. Patrick's Day, (Friday), at the
South Huron Rec Centre in Exeter

for the rest of the series have not

and beat the Northwest 14-6.
After the regular -round play, the
West was given first place overall
and a bye into the gold -medal game.
The West and Northeast each had
nine points but West was awarded
first place because of a better point
differential. •
In the semi-final game, Northeast
- beat Central 8-7 to advance to the
gold medal game against the west,
which the West lost 9-5.
Merner, who plays defence, said
the trip was a great -learning experi-
ence for her because the competition
was very tough.
She plans to try out for the pro-
vincial team next year. She added
the games were very well attended
and she's not tired despite playing
six games in just under three days.
