What Christmas means to me
The Year of the
Child
By JEFF PFAFF
Grade 7,
Usborne Central
The year 1979 was the year
of the child, I thought the
year of the child was in-
teresting because it talked
about people around the
world. I helped by giving
money to the unicef.
Some people are starving
and sick. Others are happy
and healthy 1 am very lucky
to be one of the healthy ones.
By your help you can send
greeting cards or something
like that.
Put yourself in their place
when you are starving and
unhealthy. It wouldn't be
ery nice would it? So the next
time you see a television
commercial or ad-
vertisments in books just
think about it. Send your
money to the unicef. Please?

Christmas Is...
By KATHYORR
Oradell
Stephen Central
Christmas is a time full of
laughter and cheer,
There are no such words as
sadness or fear,
Christmas is a time full of
love and joy,
For man, woman, girl and
boy.
Christmas is a time to
worship who was born on this
day,
He is Jesus Christ, and is
celebrated in many different
ways,
Christmas is a time for
family get togethers,
holidays, singing, despite the
weather.
All around the world in the
month of December,
Christmas is a time to praise
and remember.
Snowflakes
By CARLA McADAM
St. Patrick -Lucan
Snowflakes are light
Snowflakes are bright
When snowflakes fall
on land or a tree
I like to go for a walk,
and let them fall on me.
Snowflakes are white
Snowflakes fall at day or
night
Snowflakes are fun and
can cause quit a thrill
Especially when your sliding
down a big long hill.
Is the Christmas
Spirit Here?
By BARBARAMORRISSEY
Grade 8
Mount Carmel
School
You can hear the music,
See the decorations,
Taste the Christmas cake,
But do you really feel the
Christmas Spirit?
You can wish someone a
Merry Christmas,
Go to church,
Decorate a tree,
But do you really feel the
Christmas Spirit?
Sure, say you were good all
year,
Pick up your toys for mom.
And say an extra prayer,
But do you really feel the
Christmas Spirit?
I HOPE SO!
This is What Christmas
is Like to Me...
By JOHN HANNAH
Usborne Central
Christmas is a time for
family and relations to get
together and enjoy the
Christmas holiday.
Christmas feels like you do
something good or orave to
get the things you get. I think
children all over the world
should have the same type of
Christmas a Canadians
because every child
deserves a time for joy and
laughter. Adults and
children all over the world
enjoy Christmas even if they
do not get everything they
want. 1 am glad the world
has a main part of the year
