Marauders and Sunday they
will be in Zurich for a return
engagement with the
Buckeyes. Zurich plays at
Kettle Point tonight, Wed-
nesday.
Thursday's contest was
close from start to finish
with neither club ever
holding more than a one goal
lead.
The game was only 50
seconds old when Pat
Bedard put the Buckeyes on
the scoreboard as he corn-
pleted a three-way passing
combination with Gerald
Weido and Mike Clarke.
The Mohawks tied the
score at 13:48 as Brad Daters
put the puck into the Zurich
net with assists going to Jeff
Fuller and Ron Moore.
Only 50 seconds later, the
Mohawks moved in front on
a successful shot by Ron
Moore. The play was started
by Jeff Fuller and Brad
Daters.
The only goal of the second
period came from the stick
of Pat Bedard to put the
Buckeyes back on even
terms. An assist was
credited to Steve Bedour.
The Buckeyes went ahead
at 2.51 of the final session as
Glen Zirk blinked the light
behind the Exeter net.
Assisting was Ron Rader.
With less than nine
minutes remaining, Larry
Bourne finished off a three-
way passing effort with Scott
Burton and Brad Taylor to
put the Mohawks even at 3-3.
The game winning goal
was fired by Steve Bedour on
a pass from Pat Bedard at
15.22.
The Mohawks took four of
the six minor penalties
handed out by referees Tem
Millar and Don Appleby.
