Present series valid until Dec. 31, 1979. join club After only one week of operation the 100 Club of the Hensall and district com- munity centre's fund raising committee has 17 members. Carl McMahon of the fund raising committee said it's hoped 200 memberships at $100 apiece can be sold in the club. The funds raised will go towards the final payments of the centre. In other fund raising news McMahon says 33 skaters have not turned in 1585 of funds pledged for the skate-a-thon some time ago. McMahon askes that all funds be turned into him at the Bank of Montreal in Hensall by November 30. SENIORS MEET Progressive euchre was played at the November meeting of the Three Links, Hensall Senior Citizens held on Tuesday, Eight tables were in play. Winners were: - ladies high. Mrs. Pearl Koehler. men's high. Stewart Blackwell, ladies lone hands, Mrs. Hilda Payne. gents - lone hands. Clarence Volland lucky chair, Mrs. Alice Ferg. At the business meeting it was decided to hold an afternoon of carpet bowling instruction on Monday af- ternoon at 1:30 p.m. led by Mrs. Isabel Rogerson. All with cars were reminded to pick up those less fortunate for the meetings. There was some discussion about Hensall holding the next Spring Zone Rally and Mrs. Hilda Payne and Mrs. Isabel Rogerson agreed to find out the availability of halls in Hensall. Personal information of all members present were handed in to be used for a Leadership Developement Project financed by the New Horizons and being compiled by Harry Baker. "Cooking for one or two" a demonstration to be given at Exeter, and Huronview was brought to attention of members. Further demonstrations will take place at Huronview on November 27 and 30 at 1 p.m. Mrs. Irene Davis reported on the fall Zone 8 rally. She would like us to become a "Star" club of the U.S.C.O. as the organization does so much to help seniors. Mrs. Isabel Rogerson displayed two hand -hooked cushions and rugs made by the members for sale to raise funds for the club. They will be on display at the Flower Basket until the end of the year. Proceeds from the sale are to go towards the Arena Fund. Presentations were made by Col Bili .Johnston of Watford and Alex Mctieath from the Exeter Encampment Christian Stewardship Rev Kenneth Knight conducted worship in Car• mel Presbyterian Church on Sunday speaking on "Christian Stewardship'' Mrs. Robert Taylor presided at the organ and led the choir in the anthem "The Bible Tells Me So". Choir practise will be held on Wednesday evening also the Com- municants Class at 8:00 p.m Arnold circle Mrs Don Volland presided at the November meeting of the Arnold Circle evening Auxiliary on kVednesday evening. The Worship was taken by Mrs. R Mellenger on "Peace". Following the meeting a work party was held to make Christmas decorations for the Church. Refreshments were served at the close.
