More than 500 at Thames Road supper

THAMES ROAD - The ladies of
the church fed over 500 people on
Monday evening at their annual
Strawberry and Ilam Supper.

Tom and Jon, spent the weekend
camping at the home of Mr. and

Mrs. Marguerite Gibson of -Lon-
don had lunch on Saturday with
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rohde, then all
were guests at the Coghtin-Rohde
wedding on Saturday at Mitchell -
United Church and the meal, recep-
tion and dance at the- Mitchell
Community Centre.
Mr.- and Mrs. Glenn Jeffery, Mr.
and Mrs. Alan Jcffcryand Amanda,
Miss Michelle Romph and Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Rohde attended the 31st
Bicnnicl Reunion of the Switzer;
at the Kirkton Woodhain Commu-
nity Centre on Sunday.

Road people will attend church at
Etimville with Rev. Sheila Mac-.
Gregor in charge. Her induction
service will be held on Thursday,
July 7 at 8 p.m. in Thames Roar

Decoration day at Crediton UC

.CREDITON - The sermon topic
at Zion United Church was "The
Christian Challenge Special mu-
sic was provided by one of the
Gower sisters.
Sunday was Decoration Sunday
when we remembered all those who
have passed away since last June.
We prayerfully remember all our re-
lations and friends who have fin-
ished their life's journey and have
kept the faith.
There will be no choir practice
this week: The next practice will be
Wednesday, July 20 at 8:00 p.m.
There will be no Sunday School
till next fall following the opening
of school in September.
--Brinslcy 'Untied Church will hold
their Chicken Barbecue on Wednes-
day, July 13 from 5 16 7 p.m. The
cost for adults is $7.00. Tickets are
available through v1r. Doug Lewis.
Mr. Joe McCann is a patient in
Exeter, and Mr. Calvin Fahrncr is
in Victoria Hospital, London.
Vacation Bible School this year
is August 22-26. Plan to have your
children "discover God's Power at
the Wonderfaire". Volunteers for
teachers and helpers are still needed.

were Saturday. supper guests with
Mr. and Mrs. Norman, Hubley,'

Princeton, were also guests. We en-
oycd supper at the Steak House in
;eaforth and celebrated the birthday
of Norman Hubley whose birthday
was June and Stan Preszcator's on
June 30.
Sympathy is extended to the fam-
ilies of the late Nicole 'D::Ilas
(Preszcator) who was killed in a
motorcycle accident on Saturday.
Nicole was one of our granddaugh-
ters.

Steven DeLong) of Mitchell, Shei-

CENTRALIA - The Centralia
United Church Sunday School An-
niversary was held Sunday on the
Church lawn with the Junior Youth'
Group and Junior choir taking pare
in the service based on the theme
"Images of God in Nature". Music
was provided by Judy Mills on an
electric keyboard supplied by Exctcr.
Electric.
Sunday school awards were pre-
sented by Norman Wilson. A pot
luck lunch followed the service.
Larry and Faye Skinner organized a
number of games and -contests for
the young people and the adults:

Saintsbury along with friends gath-
ered at Mary Kooy's on Monday of
