Miss Muriel Hayman of Southern England is visiting with her sister and brother-in-law Kilda and Carl Payne. Glen and Pearl McKnight enjoyed a visit from their family last Sun- day. Spending some time with the McKnights were Mary and Don Gravett of Hanover along with their sons Mark of Toronto, Gary of Port Elgin and John of Guelph. Margaret Mole and family spent the day Sunday at Dungannon and attended the memorial service at the cemetery followed by a visit with Betty and Bob Mole arid family. Bob Bis- sct.of Goderich have now completed their assignments as supply mini- stcrs for Carmel, Hensall and Ca- ven, Exctcr churches while we were without a resident Minister. . On Sunday June 26 in Hcnsall Rcv. Bob Bisset's sermon was enti- tled "And The Beat Goes On". He mentioned how he had enjoyed be- ing with the parish over the tpast months and wished the church the very best as they eagerly look for- ward to the new minister arriving. There will be no services in the Presbyterian Church for the five 41r - Sundays in July. Rcv. Fraser Stinson will be arriv- ing in July to take up -residence in the Presbyterian Manse on Carling St. in Exctcr, and will start his ministry ,for Hensall and Exeter charges on Monday, August 1. Commencing on Sunday, August - 7 at 11:15 a.m. Rev. Fraser Stin- son will preside in the pulpit at Hcnsall Presbyterian Church. The induction of Rev. United Church - Mrs. Belva Fuss was joined by Jean Jacobe for the musical begin- ning .to the servick. on Sunday at Hcnsall United Church. - Immediately before the benedic- tion Doug Mock 'presented Belva with a gift from the congregation along with many kind and well de- served words in appreciation for the' special services Belva has given to the church over the ycars.'Belva thanked the.congregation and the senior choir for their faithful sup- port while she was organist and choir leader. A delicious lunch was served fol- lowing the service. This was hosted by the Membership and Sacraments Committee. Queensway JVjws IIENSALL - Tuesday after Fun and Fitness residents viewed the video taken of our Talent Show. It was -great reviewing all the fun we had and also seeing those that wcrc in the audience. Thank you very much to John Casticdinc for taping our show. Reverend Rodgers visit- ed us in the afternoon and led our church service. Several parishion- ers carne with him- and residents were pleased to visit with them following the service. Thank you to Carol Rodgers volunteer pianist, for our service. Wednesday we all enjoyed our yearly visit to Bill Gibson's cot- tage. It was a super time. We lis- tened to and sang along with organ and piano music. A few brave souls even danced in the kitchen. We ended our afternoon with Bill's delicious carrot cake and ice cream, also lots of tea and coffee. Many thanks .to our most gracious host and the volunteer drivers who made our outing possible. Thursday, Baking Club got to- gcther-and hulled fresti strawberries in preparation for our fund raiser for Alzhcimcrs Research.. The an- nual Strawberry Social.
