She was presented with her crown by Beth Sweeney, last year's Queen. Her other gifts were one dozen red roses which, along with the crown,' were from the Village of Hensall and were presented by Reeve Jim Robinson. A 5100 cheque came from the Hensall and District Kins- man Club, luggage from BSL Re- frigeration and General Coach, an engraved silver pendant from the Hensall South Huron Agricultural Socicty Fair Board, a 515 bank ac- count from the Hensall branch of CIBC, a crystal vase fronr Wil- liam's Hairstyling, a brass picture frame from The Birch Tree, basket of bath accessories from Fud's Freeze King, a lighted make-up mir- ror from Veal's Meat Market, a hair dryer from Knight Electric, one year membership from Star -time Video, a $15 gift-cenificate from Signs 'N Shirts and a microwave cookbook compliments of Drysdale's Major Appliances. Dianne Hamilton was selected as first runner-up and received a S10 gift certificate from Hensall CIBC. an engraved jewellery box from Kyle's Shell and a lovely fresh wa- ter pearl bracelet from Gold Dust Targets of Hensall. Each of the contestants will re- ceive a crushed velvet travel jewel- lery box compliments of the Hen- sall and District Kinette Club. Hensall Fair results HENSALL - The Hensall South Huron Agricul- tural Socicty held another successful spring fair with increased gate receipts over 1987. About 900- 1000 people attended the fair over the two days. Friday evening attendance was oosted for the Talent Show and Queen of the air competition. The Appaloosa Horse Show attracted 40 entries from both sides of the border. Mini tractor pull Twenty-five to fifty pounds division: first - Jeff Campbell, second - Andrew Kinsman, third - Jere- my Allen. Fifty-one to seventy-five pounds division: first - Lance Weiss, second - Peter Owen Bisback, third - Richard Kinsman. Seventy-six to one hundred pounds division: first - Matthew Turner, second - Steven Lostcll, third - David Rathwcil. . The Ellison Travel' Free Draw for two tickets to a Blue Jay's game was won by Clayton Cooper. TALENT SHOW - A full audience was .treated to a variety of acts from South Huron youth on Friday evening. Music, dancing, and monologues were out in full force before the crowning of the fair queen.
