KITCHENER - Beginning this
week, Bell Canada customers in arca
codes 519 and 807 will have access
to both local and long distance di-
rectory assistance within their arca
code by dialing 411. Until now,
customers were required to dial 1-
555-1212 to obtain long distance di-
rectory assistance within their arca
coxlc.
Charges of 60 cents will continue
to apply if the number requested is
listed in the customer's directory or
in another directory automatically
provided to the customer, unless
there is an exception or exemption
as outlined in the front pages of the
telephone directory. However, to
obtain a number with a different
arca code, customers must continue
to dial 1 plus arca code plus 555-
1212.
There is no charge for calls to
long distance directory assistance
operators in Canada. In 1985, how-
ever, Bell Canada introduced a
charge for calls placed to long dis-
tance directory assistance in .the
United States. A charge of 80 cents
applies to each call after 250 free
calls have been placed.
'Bell Canada's directory assistance
service handles an average of
450,000 local and long -distance
calls a day, in Ontario and Quebec.

dents of the Villa. Weare glad to
have Perc lcFails home from the
hospital. Welcome to Irene Johns
who has moved into the Lodge.
The car rides last week were en-
joyed by everyone. Thanks to the
Mission and Scrvicc Committee of
the Exeter United Church. They
also provided a delicious lunch of
homemade ,good ies following the
rides.
The United Church also hosted
their annual Friendship Tca last
week. Several residents enjoyed the
afternouu_ I hanks to everyone who
provided transportation.
Rev. Doug Wright of Ole Hensall
United Church conducted our week-
ly worship service. Thanks to Rev.
Wright and his pianist for a lovely
service.
Staff and residents said good -by to
Janice Cole, our Food Scrvicc Su-
pervisor. Janice is moving to Owen
Sound. She will be missed by all.
Barb Storey will be taking over as
Food Scrvicc Supervisor. Welcome
Barb and we hope you enjoy work-
ing at The Villa.
The Dashwood Scaforth Brass
Band treated us to a concert on Sun-
day afternoon. It was nice to be able
to enjoy the music outside.
Thanks to Dorothy Bullock for
playing for our Sunday evening
hymn sing. Although it was pretty
hot for much activity, everyone en-
joyed the old favourites.

Barbara 'Anne McGregor, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Doug McGregor,
RR2 Kippen, and Rick Laverne Dal-
rymple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Dalrymple, Eggmondvillet were mar-
ried in a double.ring ceremony on
June 11, 1988 in Hensall United
Church with Rev. Doug Wright offi-
ciating. Attending the bride were
maid of hoinour Laura Collins, RR2
Kippen, bridesmaids Donna Smith,
Mitchell, Carol Scott, Staffa, and
Judy Dalrymple, Goderich and flow-
er girls Krystal Thompson, RR1
Brucefield and Amanda Curtis, Sea -
forth. Best man was' Kirby Deller.
London, and ushers were Brad
Smith, Mitchell, Ron Thompson,
RR1 Brucefield and Brian McGre-
gor, Kippen. After a wedding trip to
Jamaica, the couple will reside in
Brucefield.

Residents and staff wish to extend
their sympathy to the family and
friends of Lloyd Morgan. Lloyd
shall be missed by everyone.
Next week the Villa will be cele-
brating Seniors Month and Nursing
Home Werk. Activities include bin-
go with the Seniors, ice cream so-
cial with the staff, marshmallow
roast, movies, and a chicken barbe-
cue.
Everyone is invited to the Villa
on Saturday June 25 for a bake sale
and a hot dog and pop for S 1.00.
The draw will be made that day for
our crocheted afghan and handmade
geese. All proceeds will go to the
Alzheimer Society.
Thought for the week: The most

his children is to love their mother.
