Roger Mason, from Genesis 2:24-25 spoke on the foundation of marriage. Many who have no com- mitment to the Bible today believe marriage is obsolete. With Chris- tian teaching in counselors, books, and tapes, there still is a disturbing trend to marital conflicts.. Marriage needs foundations. First is severance of cutting the bond be- tween child and parent, so a new household can be established. The husband wifc.rclationship is strong- er than between father and son. A emotional dependence must stop. Verse 24 stresses this. Comparison between husband and father, wife and mother is harmful. Permanence is found in verse 24 of a man leaving his parents to be strongly tied in the permanent mari- tal bond to his wife. Jesus said to let no one cause a.se.paration be- tween husband and wife.
