ACW meeting at Granton

- URANTON - The ACW of St. -
Thomas Anglican Church met last
Wednesday evening at the home of
Kathy Wesunan. Irene.Roloson, co-
ordinator opened the meeting and
read a poem "Slow me down Lord".
Jean Noon read the minutes and the
treasurers report.
Supplies were purchased and do-
nated to the Sunday Schodf. Olive
K. Hodgins read a poem "Take time
to pray" and Jean Noon read a poem
"My.Garden".
In the business, plans were made
for the beef barbecue which is being
held at the Lions Park on July 13.
After the closing of the- meeting
Irene Roloson asked Grace. A deli-
cious lunch was served by the host-

UCW meets
Unit 5 of Granton UCW met at
the home of Jackie Pierce. Margaret
Spence, president, opened the meet-
ing with Scriptures from Proverbs
25 and 26. The meditation was
"Post office closed" based on this
scripture. The program consisted of
a portion of the Creation in Crises
study, a video with Don Langford
as commentator. Lunch was served
by Mary Wallis and Jackie Pierce.
Church news
Rev. Bruce Pierce was in charge
of the morning worship and entitled
his sermon "The Secret of Perma-
nence in a World of Change". The
call to worship "Trust in God at all
times Oh People, pour out your
hearts to Him for God is our ref-
uge.
The childrens hymn "All things
bright and beautiful". The offertory
sentence "Dear Lord and Savior of
us all, may we become obedient to
your will both in dedication of our
time and of our talents.
There was a very good attendance
at Bible Study on Monday evening.
This is the last Bible Study meet-
ing till fall.
Ittichacl Pierce, son of Rev.
Bruce and Mrs. Pierce is taking a
team of young people to Mexico to
put on .a demonstration of religious
songs and skits.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The Summer School Office is open at
St. Clair Secondary School, Room 107,
(Business Office) starting May 16, 1988.
Office hours are from 12:00 noon to 5:00
p.m., Monday to Friday.
2. Main registration will be Monday,
June 27, Tuesday, June 28, Wednesday,
June 29th and Thursday, June 30th,
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Room
107 at St. Clair Secondary School, 340
Murphy Rd., Sarnia.
3. While classes are in session, from
Monday, July 4 and until the Summer
School Office closes, the normal office
hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m.
4. Students under age 18 must have
their registration forms signed by
parent or guardian.
5. All secondary students must have
their applications signed by Student
Services at their home school to ensure
the credit will be accepted by the home
school.
