ZURICH - There will be a St.
Boniface Parish Breakfast at the Zu-
rich Community Centre this Sun-
day, June 12 after the two masses.
It is being organized by the Build-
ing Fund Committee as a fund-
raising "kick-off" for the new
church and rectory with parish hall
planned for construction this fall.
All donations toward this under-
taking will be greatly appreciated

Cyril and Carol Gingerich re-
turned home to Ethiopia and to their
work with the Blind Mission last
Thursday after visiting in the area
with family, friends and relatives for
the past two months.

May 26-29. They found it to be
another great convention and re-
ported that the big parade on Satur-
day was really nice. Kevin Oke
spent Saturday there also.

Kitchener. Sr. Clare is the sister of
Ann Marie Watson and Louis Far-
well of Zurich.
Bride and groom Chris Groot and
Rhonda Garlough were married
Saturday in Morrisburg, Ottawa
with about 50 friends and relatives
from the Zurich area attending.
Chris is the son of John and Brid-
get Groot Sr., RR 1, Zurich.

trip to Toronto
Last Wednesday to Friday several
students of SHDHS who belong in
the band and choir enjoyed a trip to
Toronto.
The first day some attended a Blue
Jays game, while others went to
Ontario Place and saw a David Wil-
cox concert.
The second day was spent at Can-
ada's Wonderland where they were
among three other schools who per-
formed for a musical program.
Friday they went to Cedarbrae
Collegiate for a concert clinic leav-
ing time to go shopping in the af-
ternoon.
The students had worked hard to
raise money for this -trip by selling
home-made pizzas during the winter
and having a Spring Concert in
April. Those going from Zurich
were Heather Westlake, Richard
Gingerich-, Beth Sweeney and Sonya
Shantz.
Golden Agers
Gcrtie Fleischauer visited recent-
ly with her sister Earl and Martha
Heywood of Wingham and her
niece Bob and Pat Cook in Shel-
bourne.
The Golden Agers will be meet-
ing for a picnic June 13 at 1:30 at
• the residence of Louise Ivanchen-
ko.

slo pitch team, The Stray Cats wish
to thank everyo'le for supporting
their draw and bake sale at the Com-
munity Hall in Hcnsall last Satur-
day.

members for their donations of
night with a good turn -out. Win-
ners of the high scores were Aldene
Wolfe and Margaret Elliott and low
scores were played by Vera Haberer
and Vcrda Bacchlcr. Lone hands
went to Elmer Hayter and Joyce

ther Mooney at St. Boniface
Church. His godparents were Chris

On Friday afternoon, some of the
residents enjoyed a bus ride
through the Bayfield area and par-
ticularly enjoyed seeing the marina
and all the beautiful boats. A spe-
cial thank you to Mr. Marc Chalut
who docs such an excellent job of
explaining the scenery as they
drive around.
The Sunday evening chapel ser-
vice was conducted by Mr. and
Mrs. Eric Luther of Hcnsall.
