WI visit rehab centre
On Tuesday afternoon, May 17,
16 members of the Grand Bend
Women's Institute visited the Blue
-
_water Centre, near Goderich.
-The ladies were welcomed at thc
door by a PR person and taken to
the board room. here a few items of
business wcrc discussed. The June
meeting was planned, and four -vot-
ing delegates were chosen to attend
the district annual at Hensall, on
may 19.
The WI wcrc divided intci groups
of four and four resident boys acted
!'cry capably as tour guides of the
building. This was followed by a
question/answer session. The PR
person and tour boys answered all
questions. The boys all agreed that
the staff was very supportive and
did everything they could to help
them. They really appreciated all
the fine facilities available to make
their rehabilitation easier.
The boys arc on a four -level sys
tem, the highest being the Gold
-Bar. They attain this level by dem-
onstrating trust and responsibility
and as a reward they receive more
privileges. No matter how re-
strained the relations become, the
boys must continue to keep com-
munications open with thcir par-
ents at all times. It is very impor-
tant that parents support their child
and always tic there when he or she
need help. The ladies felt this was
an afternoon well spent.

ed ownership of the beach, between
a private citizen and the .town, has
been set for May 31, scheduled to
-last for eight weeks.
The arca in dispute is the entire
