Stephen Albatross are Novice 'A' Champs
Stcphcn Township Albatross No-
vice Team won the Southern divi-
sion of the WOAA House league
playoff tournament by defeating
Hensall 4-1 in the final game.
After receiving a bye in the first
round, Stephen played its first game
against Zurich and came out 6-1
winners.
The first period was a tight check-
ing game until Kurt Mills scored
for Stephen on a fine solo rush
with 42 seconds left in the period.
Derck Swcitvcr then took over the
scoring for Stcphcn, potting the
next three goals.
Nick Parsons scored on a pretty
set' up from. team captain Jeff Gla-
vin. Glavin then assisted on the
next goal scored by Wes Regier.

scored the lone goal for Bayfield.
While Stcphcn was heading to the
finals on one side of the tourna-
ment, Hensall was headed to the fi-
nals after defeating Goderich and
Brussels. •
Stephen's Jeff Glavin got things
undcr way with a nice pass to Derck
Switzer who fired a shot past Hen-
sall go;ilie Eric Groot. .
Nick Parsons continued his "goal -
a -game" pace, scoring from Sweit-
zer and Jeff Gldvcr.
Darryl Parsons scored Stephen's
third goal assisted by Greg Hendrick
and Greg Glanville.;
Hensall then applied some good
pressure resulting in ff goal by
Gregg Keys early in the third peri-
od.
Ben McCann ended the scoring
