Dashwood Industries celebrate
The new and the old got together
Thursday _afternoon and evening at
the Dashwood Industries plant near
Centralia and a good time was bad
by alt. •
The 60th birthday celebration of
the well known wood window com-
pany brought out tnost of the close
to 500 employees and their families
along with officials from Trus Joist
Corporation of Boise Idaho.
Almost a year ago, Dasliwood In-
dustries ownership was purchased
by the Idaho based company. At-
tending Thnrsday.'s-celebration wcrc
Trus Joist's chief executive officer
Walt Miiiick and senior vice-
president of window operations
John'Cook, who is also president
and chief operating _officer of Dash-
wood Industries.
-Trus Joist also owns Norco Win-
dows in Hawkins, Wisconsin.
• John Cook told the emplOyees. "
1 want to congratulate this team.
You have blown away: alt sales
records in 1987. Collectively we
will blow these away in 1988 with
quality products and service to our
customers."
Cook added," We need to get in•
volved together. Each of us is re-
sponsible for changein reVolution-
izing-our. productivity."
Employees heard from -Walt•Nlin-
ick, "I'm also proud to. be -part of
your team and I'm overwhelmed by
your enthusiasm in this 60th anni-
versary celebration." "

customer as it docs to hold the old
one.

Duffy who has been with the firm
for more than 20 years introduced
Maurice Klumpp who assisted his
.father the late Thomas Klumpp in
establishing the company known as
Dashwood Planing Mills back in
1928. -
A fter.38 years in Dashwood..the•
company base was switched to the
Centralia area and the Klumpps sold
their interests to Allpak Limited
operated by the Ivey family of Lon-
don in 1968. During 1987 owner-
ship was.transfcrrcd to Trus Joist.
Maurice Klumpp, now a consul-
tant with the wood window firm
traced the history of his family's
business from a modest beginning
with a building which only was -
