Or better yet if I could find a relative of Anna or Ernie! Gottschalk, Ben- jamin, Daniel, William, Abraham Lehman, Mrs. H.C. Zaphne, Mrs. C. Bosscnsnbury or Mrs. Rous- seau. My great grandfather Lewis Gottschalk was a shoemaker from the township of South East Hope, in the county of Perth, who pur- chased fifty acres of land on the 31 day of January 1856 from James Morley and wife, composed of the north half of Lot number fifteen, in the eleventh concession of Hay Township, Huron County for the sum of one hundred fifty pounds. His wife was Elizabeth Brumer and the children were Lathcrine, Anna, Annie Elizabeth, Emile, Da- vid and Justus. Four of them arc buried in the cemetery on the Bronson Line Road, Zurich. David Gottschalk was my grandfather, he was a shoe - merchant in Zurich until 1900, went to Michigan and is buried in • Bad Axe, Michigan. Great grandfather Abraham Leha- man came tom Blandford, Oxford County and settled on S1/24, con- cession 9, Hay township in 1854. I do not know if William Lehman was his brother who settled in Hay township on lot 8, concession 10 in 1853. Abraham Lehman was a farmer and carpenter and William Lehman was a carpenter. His wifc was Jessie children Benjamin, Daniel, Wil • Ilam, Abraham, Mary Jane, who married David Gottschatk on 1 March 1889. who became Mrs. H.C. Zaphne of Blake, who became Mrs. C. Bos- senbury, who became Mrs. Rousseau. Abraham and Jessie are buried in the cemetery on the Bronson Line Rd. I plan to visit the library and view the microfilm from 1900 back. But it would be great to hear from someone that could be a pos- sible relative. Only this past week I heard from a•schoot (cachet. from Scarborough, Ontario by telephone who is my fourth cousin on my mother's sidc'of the family.
