Hay council briefs
Hay Township has officially reg-
istered its opposition to Sunday
shopping with the Coalition
against open Sunday shopping.
Council also feels the decision on
Sunday shopping should- rest with
the Province and not the local mu-
-nicipality.
The Zurich and Arca Fire Board
budget was accepted by Hay coun-
cil. The budget will cost the
township $14,830.15 of the
S28,284 total because Hay has
more than- 52 percent of the fire
area's coverage.

A stop -work order on the Blue-
watcr Properties subdivision has
been lifted. Council met with Vic-
tor and George Brisson's lawyer
and determined that the conditions
of a development agreement be-
tween thc developers and the town-
shiphad been met.. Hydro and wa-
ter' services have been installed, but
the access road cannot be brought
back to its original condition until
the ground thaws.
The Bayvicw Property Owners

subdivision as seasonal residential.
They are seeking a rezoning of the
arca as urban to permit year-round
. residency.
