Craig UCW see Brazil skit
By DOUG McNAIR
When the Ailsa Craig U.C.W.
met in the Sunday school room for
the March meeting, Janice Karr
opened the meeting with some re-
marks about the country of Brazil
then everyone enjoyed a skit enti-
tled Open Doors and bascd on thc
story of Ruth. The part of Ruth
was taken by Betty Sutherland,
Naomi by Wilma McIntosh, and
Margaret Dores was the narrator.
Rev. Anne Beattie used the Para-
ble of the Talents for a period of
bible study. During this session
small groups were formed,to dis-
cuss the use of talents in thc mod-
ern world and to create a modern
setting for this parable.
Beth Brcimer, program co-
ordinator for the Craigwiel Day
antic for Seniors, spoke about her
work at the Centre and explained
that it is a place for seniors to meet
friends, have a hot noon mcal and
enjoy many activities.
Donna Cox, the president, con-
ducted the business part of the
meeting. Margaret Dores for Com-
munity Outreach reported that 19
bunches of flowers had been deliv-
ered to the sick and shut-ins on Val-
entines Day. The group decided to
give the Bushels For Bread for Ethi-
opia .a money dgnation that would
match the amount given by the Ail-
sa Craig United Church congrega-
tion. A money donation was also
given to Craigwiel Day Centre for
Seniors. The meeting concluded
with a time of fellowship while
Unit 3 served a cup of tea and fruit
bread.
The next U.C.W. meeting will be
held in the Sunday school room on
Tuesday April 12 and this time at 7
p.m. as the meeting will begin
with a meal of African food.

the Centre explaining that it is an
information centre for the residents
of West Middlesex County.
