Thursday, Walter Davis notched
418 to take high scorc in four
games. Davis was followed by
Ross Richardson with 373 and Del-
mar Skinner who tallied 364.
John Pepper led the pack in three
games Thursday when he scored
24S. Estelle Chalmers claimed sec-
ond spot with 244. Olive Tindall
and Lorne Marshall tied for third
place with 243.

The Senior Girls Volleyball team
put forth un excellent effort at
Thursday's Huron -Perth finals. After
playing the top four teams in the
division they came up second over-
all which qualifies them to go to
WOSSA Saturday in Stratford.
The girls played against Norwell,
Clinton Northwestern and Strafford
Central.
Mr. Halpenny deserves credit for
the job he has done with the team
to date.
Basketball
Friday, the Midget Boys basket-
ball team played in the Huron -Perth
playoffs in Listowel. After a very
exciting opening loss to Stratford
Northwestern, the team came back
to soundly defeat Norwell and cam a
shot at the Consolation Champion-
ship. Their opponent, Madill from
Wingham, proved to be a bit too
much for them although South Hu-
ron rallied late in the game. The fi-
nal score was 56-48.
Irish surprise first place Lambeth
Lucan Irish are putting on a
strong show for Lambeth in the
South despite the fact that they now
trail 2-1 in the best -of -seven playoff
-series.
Irish gave Lambeth a run for their
money Sunday when the favourites
squeaked out a 2-1 win over Lucan.
They weren't as lucky Wednesday
night when Irish leveled them 11-6
on Lucan ice.
Sunday in Lambeth, Lucan fell
behind 2-0 in the first after Brad
Barbour scored unassisted and then
Jack Dundas added a second goal
during a power play.
Irish staycd close and with less
than one minute to play in the
game, Mark Bannon connected with
Brad Muir and Scott Denomy to
score Lucan's only goal.
Paul Farrell kicked out 27 shots
on net over the course of the game
for Lucan while his counter -part,
Vince Bracca made 30 saves.
Irish 11 - Lambeth 6
Lucan upset the apple cart Wed-
nesday night on home ice when
they handed Lambeth an 11-6 loss.

Despite being short handed the boys

elled to Forest for the second game
of the best -of -three Ringctte quarter
finals. Exctcr came out on top 4-2
to advance to the semi-final round.
Exctcr started the scoring after a
pass from Jody Hamilton to Cara
Gardner with only six seconds gone
in the game.
Forest staycd close to the Exeter
girls and at 1:45 Forest tied the
game 1-1. -
Exeter recovered quickly with two
Legionnaires
Exctcr Legionnaires pushed their
record to four wins, three losses and
PT three ties in OMHA Bantam round -
