Bowl Sunday A DASHWOOD DRAW WINNER - Peter Becker of the Dashwood Fire- men's Association presents a cheque for $930 to Jim Wilson„ RR 3 Ailsa Craig as winner in a recent 50-50 draw. It's celebrity time at the Town and Country Lanes in Zurich Sun- day afternoon, February 14. The South Huron Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association are sponsoring their annual Bowl for Millions. Jim Chapman who is co- ordinator for the event reports at least four politicians and possibly more will be in attendance to give their support for the local organiza- tion which helps young boys and girls. Exeter mayor Bruce Shaw and Deputy reeve Lossy Fuller will be there along with Huron -Bruce MP Murray Cardiff and Huron Warden Bob Bell. Agriculture Minister Jack Riddell is a possibility. Exeter's official mascot, The White Wonder will at"so be seen in action. He already has pledges in excess of 5500. Many other local bowlers will be out to help in- crease the fund raising. Between S8,000 and S10,000 has been raised in previous years. Bowlers in regular leagues in Zu- rich and Lucan will also be bowl- ing during the week. New York Ranger Dave Shaw will be represented by Times Ad- vocate sports reporter Mark Bisset. The movies show last Monday evening were: "Islands of Hawaii and Another Fine Mess". Refresh- ments followed. Mr. Fergus Turnbull of the apart- ments who is always very. willing to lend a helping hand in the home, has returned from a relaxing week in Florida. The January meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary was held on Tuesday evening. The conveners of the meet- ing were Joyce Alexander, Verda Baechler, Madeline Gelinas and Ce- cilia Farwell. The entertainment consisted of a reading by Madeline Gclinas. The students of St. Boni- face School, under the direction of Margaret Suplat, sang excerpts from their current operetta "Days O'Kerry Dancing". Shelly Hoffman very ca- pably accompanied on the piano. Charlene Regier gave a clear com- mentary and the Kerry Witch gave a very convincing performance. Fol- lowing refreshments, the Auxiliary proceeded with their business meet- ing. Wednesday evening residents en- joyed themselves with the various games organized under the direction of Mary Ellen Gingcrich.
