Big V Bullets tie Mount Brydges
Exeter Big V Bullets played to a
4-4 tie against Mount Brydges in
Lambton-Middlesex Peewee action
Saturday.
Exeter took a 2-1 lead in the first
period and then maintained their
one goal lead in the second, match-
ing Mount Brydges' marker.
In the third, Mount Brydges out -
Molting Hawks
Exeter Molting Hawks Oldtimers
travelled to London Saturday night
to take on C.F.B. London Oldtim-
ers. C.F.B. won the game.
Leading the way for Exeter was
Brian Hodgins with two goals.
Firing one goal each were Bob
McDonald, Walt Ticdcman and Jim
Empringham.
Bob Jones had two assists.
Exeter hosted a strong Seaforth
Oldtimers team Monday night at the
Rec Centre and played them to a 6-6
tie. -
Scoring for Exeter was Ken Berg-
man with three goals.
Single markers went to Ron
Moore, Scott Burton and Bill Pin-
combe.
Novice Waxers
blank London
After playing through two com-
plete periods of scoreless hockey
Saturday, Exeter Novice Waxers
pumped in two goals in the final
period to clinch an exhibition game
against London.
Played at the London Gardens,
Waxers. badly out -shot London, but
the host team had an excellent goa-
lie between the pipes.
It wasn't until the ten minute
mark of the third that Jeff Sararas
scored on a pass from Chad Gilfil-
lan to open the game up.
With 1:38 left to play, Sararas
scored his second goal of the game
after Eric Clay and Gilfillan made a
passing play which set Sararas up
on a breakaway.
Jason Lindenficld was in net for
the win.
scored Bullets 2'-1 and Exeter was
forced to settle for a tie.
Scott Parsons picked up two
goals and one assist in the effort
while Derek Beckett potted a single
goal and drew two assists.
Jason McBride scored once for
Bullets.

Parkhill Panthers win
It was very exciting to be playing
hockey in the London Gardens, es-
pecially for the Parkhill Novice
Panthers last week.
Parkhill's first goal was scored by
winger Tristan Hatfield, on a re-
bound shot by Simon Desjardine.
Then Desjardine made it 2-0 on an
unassisted effort. Jay Treumner
scored from Kyle Vermeulen giving
Parkhill a 3-0 lead. London scored
when Parkhill goalie Shane Ma-
guire lost sight of the puck in front
of the net. Treumner connected
again on passes from Justin Michel -

Petites claim 12-2
Exeter Petites ringctte played
host to Seaforth, Saturday and won
12-2.
Exeter started their scoring early
and had accumulated five goals be-
fore the end of the first period. In
the second period the home team
slammed in seven more goals and
left Seaforth scoreless in the sec-
ond.
Carrie Simpson headed the Exet-
girls scoring with fi c goals.
Cara Gardner was a so successful
on two and teammate. Janice Sand-
ers, Danielle Miners onya Law-
rence, Judi Wi an Chris Mor-
gan all added singles.
Helen Theo, Andrea Urlin,
Leanne Foster, Carollynn Rim-
mclzwann, Jody Hamilton and Ka -
tic Armstrong all assisted in the

Wall. The game ended with a 5-2
victory for the Parkhill team.
The Shamrock team visited the
London Gardens again last Friday
night when the whole team and par-
ents - went to see the London
Knights play against Windsor. It
was sure exciting, especially when
the Knights won the game.
On Sunday, January 17 the Pan-
thers travelled to London again, this
time to the Strongch Arena.
Parkhill trounced London North
Novice AA with a 7-1 score. Des-
jardine notched the hat trick, with
singles added by Kyle Venmeulen,
Casey Wall, Mark Maguire and Ian
MacGregor. Winning goalie was
Shane Maguire. Assisting the goal
getters were Jay Treumner, Vermeu-
len, Desjardine, and Jimmy Watson.
The team is passing and skating
well.
The Parkhill Peewee B team won
a tournament in Kincardine last
weekend.

RSD Panthers fought to a 2-2 tic
against Strathmy Saturday in No-
vice House league action.
Exeter took a 1-0 lead in the first
period on a goal by Ryan Fritter,
'assisted by Lucas Forrest.
Trevor ()bre added to the score
with an unassisted goal in the sec-
ond, giving RSD a 2-0 advantage.
But Strathroy came on strong in
the third, scoring twice to tie the
game.
Lucas Forrest turned in a good de-
fensive performance while Fritter
and Jeff Inch played their forward
positions well,
Luke Sims put on a good show in
net for Panthers.
January 9, RSD Panthers handed
Forest B's a 2-0 Toss to record their
first win of the season.
Both Exeter gills came in the
first period. Mike Schwindt scored
from Tony Eagleson and then Fritt-
er found the mark after connecting
with Forrest.
Sims was in net for the shut -out.

of 6,700 new non-profit housing units in
communities across this province.
Organizations interested in developing
much needed non-profit housing in Ontario
should prepare to apply today.
Preliminary deadlines are as early as
March 31, 1988.
The non-profit housing units will be
funded by the Government of Canada
through Canada Mortgage and
Housing Corporation, and the Province of
Ontario through the Ministry of Housing.
The program is open to all non-profit
housing organizations—municipal. private
and co-operative.
Government grants may be available to
help local community groups establish non-
profit housing corporations.
As well, non-profit corporations may
receive financial assistance to secure land.

Non-profit agencies can use the
program to help create affordable housing
for those in need.
Included in this category are families,
senior citizens, physically -disabled

physical. developmental or psychiatric;
the frail elderly. battered women and other
socially disadvantaged persons.
For groups interested in developing this
housing, a special orientation will be held in
February at each Regional Office of the
Ministry of Housing.
Preliminary applications for this cate-
gory must be submitted by March 31. 1988.
Eligibility depends on the degree and
nature of care provided.
