Bogart suspended again
Hiiwk.s lose two in a row
Wellsley and Mitchell dished up
a tough weekend for Exeter Hawks,
handing them 5-4 and 8-7 losses re-
spectively and delivering their fourth
and fifth losses of the season.
To add insult to injury, an inci-
dent after the game cost Hawks their
coach for an undetermined length of
time. Dave Bogart was suspended
for the second time this season by
officials immediately after Friday
night's game against Wellesley
when a personal conversation with
the Applejacks coach offended refer-
ee Doug Freeman as the two teams
were shaking hands.
Bogart said Saturday that it' was
not clear how long he would be out
of action.
The Hawks coach was behind the
bench for just two regular season
games after serving a three game
suspension handed out before
Christmas.
Clarke Singer put Exeter out in
front 1-0 in the first period Friday
night against Wellesley after he

routines and through the dremjng
rooms all day long.
Both Exeter precision teams en-
tered in the competition placed in
the top three in their divisions. In
the Junior category, Exeter Enter-
tainers placed third behind Blenheim
and St. Thomas.
The Exeter Novice team took sec-
ond spot behind St. Thomas.
A team from Watford placed third
in that division.
St. Thomas Rainbow Connection
captured the Pre -Novice final, edg-
ing out Port Stanley and Watford
while Plattsville Pickettes and the
Port Stanley Waves claimed first
place in their respective recreational
divisions. j •
Two Masters teams were also en-
tered in the competition. Port Stan-
ley Ice Breakers beat out St. Thom-
as Mommas and Poppas for the top
honour.
Teams were judged on two levels;
technical ability and artistic impres-
sion.
The competition was run as a
joint .fund-raiser with the Exeter
Figure Skating club. Various stands
were set up in the Rec Centre to
sell skating apparel, food and roses
