At an indoor track meet at York
University Friday, many of South
Huron's participants fared well. •
Placing first in thc triple -jump
was Sandra Rclouw with a jump of
9.47 meters.

Atoms score
Exeter Atoms handed Chatham a
4-1 loss in Atom CC playoff ac-
tion Last week.
Scan McCann and Mark Foster
took care of the scoring for the lo-
cal team, chalking up two goals
each in the effort. McCann's first
goal of the game was an unassisted
el fort.
Exctcr took a 1-0 lead in the first
period on a goal by Foster, assisted
by Ted 1ioffman and Ian Jean. The
two teams matched -goals in the
second with McCann notching Ex-
eter's point.
In the thijrd, McCann scored after
five minutes of play, picking up a
pass from Steve Stire and then
with 2:18 to play in the game,
Foster found the mark from Glen
Hines and Jamie Van Dam.
Exctcr won a pair of exhibition
games against Hensall last week,
betting them 4-1 Wednesday and
then routing them 11-1 Sunday.
Wednesday, Exctcr took a 2-0

Waxers blank Lambeth
Exeter Novice Waxers Ended
their Shamrock season with a
bang Saturday when they skated
to a 7-0 shut out over Lambeth.
Jason Lindenfield and Mike
Schwindt combined . in net to
fend. off their opponents
throughout the game.
Bryce Hann broke a scoreless
tic with 2:35 left to play in the
firs( period after he picked up a
pass from Chad Dalrymple and
Jcff Sararas.
Hann scored the opening goal
inthesecond period as well, this
time from Dave Farquhar, giv-
ing Exeter a 2-0 lead.
Ryan Beckett added a point with
an u_nassistcd.effort with 3:33 left in
the second and then Jeff Sararas
scored from Chad Gitfillan two
minutes later to send Waxcrs into
the .third with a commanding 4-0
lead under their belts.
FarquhaFcashcd in after five min-
utes of play in the third with two

Sararas scored his second of the
game with 7:42 left to play. Again,

Classics win division
in Oldtimers tourney
Lucan Classics held•their fourth
annual Oldtimers tournament on
the weekend, drawing 12 teams
from the area.
The tourney was divided. into
three divisions: Blue, Crys l and
Fifty, with four teams in edit divi-
sion.
Classics emerged as champions
of the Fifty division after handing
St. Thomas Oldtin er's a 5-2 loss
in the final. Lucan goals in the
Fifty final were scored by Greg
Townsend and Dennis Carty with
assists going to Mike Anderson
and Andy Hardy;
Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation
time, the two teams went into a
shoot-out and Lucan emerged the
winner.
George Robinson, goalie for Lu -
can was named the most valuable
player of the Fifty final.
The Crystal division title went
to Lambeth Canadians who defeat-
ed Hyde Park 4-2.
The Blue division was won by
London Old Rascals who downed
Exeter Molting Hawks 5-1 in the
championship game. Bob Jones of
Molting Hawks was named most
valuable player of the final game.
Friday Night Exeter played Si.
Thomas and won 7-3.

In their second game of the tour-
ney, Mohawks took a 1-0 lead
against Durham when Brian Mercer
scored from John Kernick and Jeff
Warren with just 2:20 to go in the
first.
Power play goals late in thc sec-
ond by Kernick and Barton put
some wind in' Exeter's sails and
countered Durham's only goal of the
game which came from Bob Sulli-
van with. 3:02 left to play in the
middle period.
Wilker added two. in the third
while Rarrderson, Ron Elliott and
Rob Mackie each managed .single
Ken Bergman led the team with
two goals.
Single goals went to Keith Ah-
rens, Bob Jones, Scott Burton, Pe-
ter McFalls, Ron Moore.
Saturday morning Molting Hawks
took on London Old Rascals with
Exeter winning 5-3.
Scott Burton scored two goals, ad-
-Wang singles were Bob McDonald,
Bob Jones and Bill Pincombe with
the winner.
Saturday evening Exeter played
London Road Apples with Exeter
again winning 3-2.
Ken Bergman scored the winning
goal.
Also scoring were Scott Burton
and Ron Moore.
Exeter lost the services of Peter
McFalls in •the Saturday night
game. McFalls left the game with a
broken collarbone.
With Exeter's three wins they
moved to thc Divisional finals
against Old Rascals but lost 5-1,
with the lone goal going to Al •
Flynn.
Glen Stire again played outstand-
ing goal for the Molting Hawks.
Some of the proceeds from the
tournament will be distributed to
Lucan Minor Hockey and Figure
Skating. ,

Chatham and Exeter were locked in
a scoreless tic. Exeter finally broke
the deadlock when Bedard scored
from Mercer and Dale -Gibbon with
3:29 left in the second.
Wilker gave Mohawks some insu-

when he scored on a pass from Bar-
ton.
Chatham's Ray .Raymond an-
swered partially for those goals with
one of his own at 14:43 but Rander-
son put the game out of reach with
1:18 showing on the third period
clock when he -scored from Wilker
and Barton.
