Hensall reeve lists building permits as 1987 highlight
Hensall reeve Jim Robinson wel-

Management Workshop", conducted
by Rita Loftsgard, registered mas-
sage therapist and certified yoga in-
structor, will be held at South Hu-
ron District High School on
Saturday February 6. Cost for the
one day workshop is S35 a partici-
pant and topics include stress, it's
effect on the mind an 'eotIy, and re-
laxation techniques. .
"Put Your Best Face Forward", a
skin care and cosmetic course geared
to teenage girls, is being offered in
a four week c0ursc on Monday
evenings by Ramona Paton of -Vis-
ual Image Planning. The course be-
gins on Monday. January 25 and
costs $25 per person.
Ramona is also offering a five
Week program entitled "Images of .
Success" available in your choice of
Tuesday or Thursday evening class-
es. The course covers colour, acces-
sorizing, how to get the most out
of shopping, and creating that
"winning image". Classes begin on
Tuesday January 19 and Thursday
January 21 and cost is $35 for five
weeks.
Home Economist Deb Campbell
is back with another, four week
course on "Micro -Wave Cookery'
for all those fortunate enough to
find a micro -wave under the Christ-
mas tree. The classes take place on
Wednesday evenings .bcginning
February 3 and cost is $27.a per-
son.
Dan Bell again teaches an eight
week "Youth Karate" progam for
youngsters aged six to nine.Casses
run on Saturdays from 10:30 to
11:30 a.m. and costs $25,

In a special meeting held on De-
cember 21 council set .the 1988
salaries for Hensalt public employ-
ees and council members. The
new council honoraria (with last
year's figures in brackets) include
the reeve at $1,250 per year
($1,050) and councillors at $950
per year (S900). Payment for at-
tending special night meetings,
half-day special meetings, and
whole day special meetings re-
mains the same as last year at 530,
S45, and 590 respectively. Meal
allowances for such meetings are
up to $30 a day ($25).
The clerk -treasurer is to be paid
S27,000 a year, and her assistant
was given a seven percent increase
to S14,500 ($13,500). The. works
superintendent is to be paid
$25,000 (523,488), an increase of
6.4 percent over last year with
overtime calculated at S12.00 per
hour (S11.30). The arena manager
will earn S24,500 (S22,932), an
incrcasc of 6.S percent over last
year. His assistant will be paid
nine percent more at $9.00 an hour
(S8.25).

rezoning that must accompany it.
