441 meeting
on vegetables
By Tammy Rohde
Wednesday, September 30 Elim-
ville I held their third meeting on "A
Taste of Ontario Fruits and
Vegetables."
The meeting was held at the home
of Tina Taylor. The meeting started
with the 4-H pledge. After that Linda
Johns assigned everyone to do one
cooking method.
There was boiling, microwaving,
panning, steaming, stir frying, the
carrots. Most of us thought the pann-
ing carrots tasted good.
Linda Johns made a cooked salad
of cauliflower, mushrooms, onions,
broccoli and she put some soya -sauce
on for the finishing touch. We tasted
it and it didn't taste too bad. Next
meeting is scheduled for October 7 at
the home of Linda Johns.
