News from Granton area By MRS. E. SUMMERS At Granton United Church Rev. Bruce Pierce was in charge of the Sunday morning worship. He entitled his message"Walking with the Holy Spirit". - This is part of a series on the "Ho- ly Spirit". How is it that we are not always composed, prayer should be a constant ritual, we cannot fight the Devil on our own, we must walk in the footsteps -of the Holy Spirit. This sermon will be continued next Sunday. In the children's time the Minister asks how they liked being back at school and he received various answers. Personal Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of the late Gerald Edwin Bern, who passed away suddenly in the South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Friday. There was no service at St. Thomas Anglican Church on Sunday. Parishioners were asked to attend the anniversary service at St. Patricks Church, Saintsbury. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Marlton and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hodgins were guests at the 25th wedding anniversary of their cousins Mr. and Mrs. John Hood of Whitby which was held at the home of her brother Ivan Hodgins of Green- way Sunday afternoon. The readers write Dear Editor: My late husband Flying Officer J.E. Miller and I lived in Exeter, On- tario in 1954, where our first child "Michele Lorraine Miller" was born on July 6, 1954. F/O Miller had been posted to CFB Centralia. I'm wanting a picture of the "Ex- eter hospital" in 1954, also a picture of CFB Centralia, to give to my daughter. So if any of your kind readers can help it would be more than appreciated. Thank you. Mary Ford 4441 Park Ave. Terrace, B.C..V8G 1T8 P.S.
