1' Appreciation Night
for Brian McBurney
A capacity crowd lined the Belmore
Community Centre last Friday even-
ing to pay tribute to Huron County
Warden Brian McBurney at an ap-
preciation night held in his honor.
Mr. McBurney, who is reeve of
Turnberry Township, will complete
his term as warden this December.
He is the first Turnberry reeve to sit
in the warden's chair since 1956.
Turnberry Deputy Reeve Doug
Fortune was master of ceremonies
for the evening. He said the large
crowd was indicative of the respect
Mr. McBurney commands not only in
his own township, but in the entire
county.
'Mr. Fortune commended Mr.
McBurney for his constant attention
to Turnberry Township, particularly
in light of his commitments at the
county level.
In his address, Mr. McBurney
thanked members of his own council,
the citizens of Turnberry and his col-
leagues at county council, many of
whom were in attendance. He also
paid tribute to his wife Brenda for her
support during , his 10 years in
municipal life.

Elgie read greetings from MPPs

presented Mrs. McBurney with a
flower arrangement and the couple's
young daughters Jackie and Shannon
with travel bags. Mr. and Mrs.
McBurney were presented with a
table lamp.
