Trivitt plans specials
Sunday morning the Trivitt
Memorial congregation celebrated a
very special day in the Christian
Church's calendar. The Day of
Pentecost. The time when Christ
returned to his disciples to breathe on
them "the breath of God", to give
them the Comforter they had Leen
promised at the time of his crucifix-
, ion. "The Iloly Spirit".
Basing his sermon on John 20:19-23.

possible for us to receive the Holy
Spirit in our lives in this day and age,
as the disciples also received that
dynamic power years ago. Secondly,
that it is desirable to want to receive
this power, to persue it with en-
thusiasm. Thirdly, that we can help
ourselves to receive this joy by being
receptive to God's will.
In order to help ourselves to obtain
this gift, we were given guidelines to
follow in our daily lives, by our Rec-
tor, showing us how to open our hearts
for all that God has for us, that we
might accomplishwhat God wants us
to do. Namely: understanding, desire,
searching, prayer, examination of our
hearts, vision, recognition, and finally
being prepared to set aside old habits
and take on the new ways given to us
by God's Holy Spirit.
Special music was provided by the

Pentecostal
ladies meet
The monthly meeting of the
Women's Ministries of the
Pentecostal Church was held at the
home of Edith Millar with 11
members present.
The meeting was opened by singing
hymns. Prayer was offered by Mrs.
Jean Jolly. Mrs. Idena Desjardine
presided at the piano.
The roll call was answered with a
scripture verse containing the word
"grow". The minutes of the last
meeting were read by Mrs. Jean Jol-
ly. The treasurer's report was
read by Mrs. Ruth McLaren. This let-
ter was titled, "A wise woman builds
her house". The Missionary reading
was given by Mrs. Idena Desjardine.
We sang "Victory Ahead" as a
special number requested by Leila
Finkbeiner.
The message of the afternoon was
given by Mrs. Hilda Eizinga. Her
message was on repentance and the
necessity of drawing near to God. We
need to build our lives on principles
found in Goud's lioly Word because
a time of judgment is coining. It is
either judgment or revival.
A time of prayer followed with each
member participating. A delicious
lunch was then served by Miss
Marion,McLean and Mrs. Idena Des-
jardine assisted by the hostess.
A little kindness from person to per-
son is better than a vast love for all
humankind.
