Golf Tips by Ron Bileski C.P.G.A. professional Putting - Acceleration is all imppor- tant in putting, and you can develop it by practicing a shorter backstroke and longer follow-through. Put a tee down opposite your right big toe to help you discipline yourself. Now make a firm, compact stroke - if you hit the tee on your takeaway, your stroke it too long. Try to hit the ball firmly and determine the distance you can hit it consistently with the shortest stroke. Simple fact: the shorter the stroke, the less chance the putterhead can open or clan, causing misdirection of the ball. Beware of a jerky change of direction from backswing to follow- through. Short is good only as loneas it's smooth. Keep Canada Beautiful ... Pltch-In summer, with completion in the fall. "The ministry has allocated more than $5.8 million across the province as part of a continuing effort to sup- port a reliable and effective am- bulance service," Reycraft said. "This additional money will increase the hours of staffing and service as well as build and improve facilities. The ministry will continue to review individual ambulance services on the basis of local need." 4.0004104100.141(1160(110041104i411* 4 BROWNIE'S DRIVE-IN 404 169 BEECH ST., CLINTON 982-7030 llPFN AT 8:30 P.M.
