Mt Carmel
has fun time
Although the weather was a bit
blustery, the annual Mount Carmel
PTA Winter Fun Night was a great
success. Over 175 children and their
parents crowded the toboggan hill,
skating rink and chalet at the Pinery
Park, enjoying the fresh snow, and
even fresher breezes. A hay wagon
was available for rides through -the
park.
The hungry crowd munched
through nearly 15 dozen hot dogs and
donuts, washed down by several
gallons of hot chocolate.
The parents all pitched in to patrol
the hills and skating rink, to keep an
eye on the wee ones and keep things
safe, as well as fun. PTA president
Roberta Walker would like to
acknowledge a great debt of gratitude
to her executive, who all worked so
hard to make the evening such a great
time. Special thanks to those valiant
dads and kids who cleared the snow
off the rink so everyone could enjoy
the skating.
This event will definitely be re-
scheduled for next year!
