On January 29, t;ranton held the
first 4-11 meeting al the home of Dean-
na Beatson. We elected Sylvia Beat -
son president; Elenora Kop vice presi-
dent and Colleen Hollings as
secretary. There were nine members
present.
Our new president, Sylvia, opened
the meeting with the 4-H pledge.
Everyone answered the roll call
"Why did we join this 4-H club?" We
answered some questions like "What
would you do if someone broke into
your house?" or "If you smelled
smoke?" We also learned what to do
if there was a blown fuse or stripped
circuit.breaker or if thepipe under the
sink leaked or if the toilet keeps
running.
We also learned how to handle
phone calls or what to do if a stranger
was at the door.
We would like to thank Deanna and
Sylvia Beatson for holding the
meeting at their home, and Deanna
Beatson and Pat Harlton for being
leaders.
