As a mature generation of a farm
family plans for a well-earned plea-
sant retirement, an enthusiastic
you.iger generation often eagerly an-
ticipates phasing into the existing
business.
Although the life cycle of a farm
business often parallels that of the
operators, each family situation is
unique. Major factors contributing to
those differences include current
resources of the parents, timing of en-
trance and the number of children
who aspire to farm.
