Doug Lightfoot provided his tractor and wagon, with bales of hay. After- wards we went back to the Elder home were we enjoyed hot cocoa, cof- fee and cookies. Thanks to all who helped. Mr. andMrs. Stan Preszcator spent Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCallum RR 1 Walton. Mso visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hubley Seaforth, Mr. and Mrs. Paul McCallum and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ron McCallum, RR 1 Walton, Mrs. Marion Hare and family and friend, Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hart- man Brucefield, and Carl McCallum and friend, RR 4 Walton. Mrs. Pearl England spent Christmas with her family at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Finkbeiner, RR 2, Dashwood. Mrs. Donald Dinney held Christmas at her home for all the family. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Armstrong and family Christmas visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Brintnell, Bradley Wright and Nancy Durand Exeter, Joe Varley and Marion Mollard Crediton. Mrs. Ed Chalmers Walton, Mrs. Barb Lovett Mitchell -Ed Preszcator and Judy Young Denfield were Christmas eve guests with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator. Communion at Saintsbury Sy MRS. HISIR DAVIS Rev. Braby conducted the Christmas eve communion service at St. Patrick's. Mrs. Wayne Carroll was pianist and Mrs. Hugh Davis read the lessons. The Sunday service was cancelled and the next service is planned for January 4 at 8:30 a.m. The weather and roads were good for the holidays, with just a little snow. Hugh and lfazel Davis entertained their family ,Mr, and Mrs. Bob MacGillivray, Courtney and Katie Scarlett, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Davis, Crystal and Harley and Mary Davis on Christmas eve following the church service and on Christmas day thay had their family., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greenlee enter- tained the following on Christmas day; Miss Verna Greenlee, Elmer and Bert, Exeter; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Greenlee, Derek and Debbie, and Chad, Lucan;- Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Greenlee, Kim, Pam, arid Steven; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Eaton and Mary Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Cunningham, April and Tom of Mar spent tho holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Tin- dall. Marylou and Robert and I join- ed them on Boxing day. Everyone en- joyed a sleigh ride. Sunday Brenda Carroll and family entertained the "Carrolls" family at the home of her grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Davis spent three days with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Love and girls of Varna, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Cunningham and family held a family meal Sunday at the Centralia Community Centre. HAROLD DAVIS Festival of Lessons and Carols ser- vice was held at St. Paul's Anglican Church Sunday morning. headers of the lessons were Maureen, Andrea, Mary and Jessica Blackler, Icon Grant, Linda Mizzi, Bill Waghorn, Bill Schaeffer and Reverend Braby. The choir sang the carol "We Three Kings". The verses being sung by Leon, Paul, Icon Grant and Ken Blackler. Steven Blackler of Winnipeg has been visiting with his mother Mary and Kirk. _ Several from the village attend- ed open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall, Sunday December 21. Christmas eve services were held at Zion United Church December 24. Those taking part were Howard Hendrick raWz4 the Birth of Jesus. Kathy Hendrick gave a reading titl- ed "Thoughts of a Servant Woman". The Visit of the Shepherds read by Doug Lightfoot. "The Astonishment of a Shepherd reading by Mike Lightfoot. "The Adoration of the Wise Men read by Roy Wilson and "Reflections of a King reading by Gary Wilson. "But Herod was Wrong" was read by Rev. Brian Elder. The Children lit the Advent Wreath candle which stands for Christ. Allan Brand povided special music, accompanied by Julie Hendrick on the piano. Rev. Elder distributed Christmas Candles. The sermon topic at Zion United Church Sunday was taken from 11 Kings 7:1.2 and Daniel 6:10-13 titled "The Windows of Heaven". No choir practice this week. It will be again January 7th 1987 at 8 p.m. The adult study class will meet Monday January 5, 11167 at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Elder at 8 p.m. M1 who are interested come along in a time of Bible study and fellowship. Alvin Smis, Sault Ste. Marie has been holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Laye, RR 3 Dashwood. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Regier spent Christmas with Mt. and Mrs. Lloyd Regale and girls RR 1 Princeton. Mr. 'and Mrs. Norman Hubley, Seaforth were Sunday supper guests with Mr.Wnd Mrs. Stan Preszcator. Mr. and Mrs. Don Wilson and girls Cayuga, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hist and family Huron Park spent Christtnas with Mrs. Earl Haist and the Wilsons spent a few days extra with Jean.
