Hockey cards are added
An idea two years ago to create a
baseball card game was only the
beginning of an exciting new career
for Ron Westman of RR 2. Lucan.
With the help of Detroit Tigers
veteran broadcaster Ernie Harwell as
a consultant, Westman was able to
come up w;tb-,fin .interesting card
game featuring all facets of the game.
A year later, a similar game on the
world of golf was established and both
of these games are being distributed
by the Miller Life Brewing Company
in the United States.
The latest brainchild of Westin n.
a former automotive dealer in Exeter
is a hockey game. It features the
Detroit Red Wings and is being
wholesaled throughout Michigan and
Ohio by the NHL team and is on sale
at the ate Louis arena. The deck of
cards is also available at RSD Sports
in Exeter.
Westman and his hockey consultant
former NIIL'er Larry Jeffrey were at
the Joe Louis arena in Detroit and
played the game with the players of
the Red Wings and Toronto Maple
Leafs in their dressing rooms.
Since that time Harold Ballard has
ordered a similar game with the
