IN MEMORIAM —
EDGINTON - In loving memory of a dear
son Mark who was taken suddenly as a
result of an accident two years ago, August
20, 1984.
For all our laughs we've had together,
For all those stories that you told
For helping me when times were rough
Your memory is pure gold.
For all those times we spent together
For caring when we were apart,
For everything you were to me
You live forever in my heart.
Sadly missed Dad. 34c
EDGINTON - In loving memory of my
loving son Mark who was taken so sudden-
ly as a result of an accident two years ago,
August 20, 1984.
So many things have happened
Since you were called away,
Mark, I think of you each and everyday.
Your brothers are getting older,
and are both over six feet tall,
Your baby son Todd will be three in the
fall.
Grandma and Grandpa Murless love you,
They are keeping very well,
I wish you were here with us
There is so much more to tell.
Mark, if 1 could see you
Just one more time up there
I'd tell you that I love you
And it's been so hard for me to bear.
Loved forever and thought of every day.
Love Mom 34c
EDGINTON - In loving memory of a dear
brother Mark who was taken suddenly as
a result of an accident two years ago,
August 20, 1984.
We had a brother with a heart of gold
Who was more tolls than anyone knows,
Always a smile instead of a frown
Always a hand when we were down.
Always thoughtful, kind and true
There was nothing but goodness in you.
You were someone we thought more of
As each day came to an end
You were our special brother
And most of all our friend.
Often Mark, the tears still flow
Dimming your picture before our eyes,
But never the one in our heart that lies
The stars seem dim as we whisper low,
Our dearest Mark, we miss you so.
Sadly missed and forever in our
thoughts, Daryl and Troy 34c
EDGINTON - In loving memory of our
very special grandson Mark who was
taken suddenly as a result of an accident
two years ago, August 20, 1984.
When evening shadows are falling
And we sit quietly alone,
To our hearts there comes a longing
Wishing Mark you could come home.
We think of the day you passed away
There was little we could do
But memories never fade away
For we'll always think of you.
To us you are very special
And we miss you more each day,
For the saddest day in our life
Was the day God called you away.
Missing you today, tomorrow and
always, Grandma and Grandpa Murless.

Tame is measured in moments
And minutes and months in years
And memory is measured in thoughts
But are mixed with joy and tears.
As tears ciear from our vision
And the joys are relived anew -
It brings us another day nearer
To Heaven and God and you. 34c

Until you see his empty chair.

Cowgirls move
to second place
1
The Crediton Cowgirls ladies
fastball team won their last four
games to end up in second place in
their standings and started their A
division semi-finals last night in
London.
The ladies defeated Ailsa Craig
11-2, Poplar Hill three times by scores
of 18-2, 13-3 and 28-5. The last two
games against Poplar Hill sorted out
the A and B divisions. The Crediton
squad plays London and Parkhill
twice to get into the finals.
They host London Monday night at
9 p.m. in Crediton, travel to Parkhill
next Wednesday night and then hast
Parkhill at 9 p.m. on September 1.
In their game against Ailsa Craig,
the Cowgirls took the lead in the first
inning and allowed their opponents to
only get runs in the first and fifth
innings.
Leading Crediton At the plate'.was
Debbie Lord with three hits. Tammy
Regier and Sue Muller added two hits
apiece and adding singles were
Teresa VanRaay, Kelly Phillips and
Heather Marcy.
Debbie Lord was the winning pit-
cher for Crediton.
In their first game against Poplar
Hill the Crediton squad played an ex-
cellent game defensively by allowing
only five batters to get on base and
also used their bats especially from
the third inning to the finish.
Leading Crediton at the plate was
Debbie Lord with a grand slam home
run and two singles. Teresa VanRaay
and Kathy Gielen were successful at
three trips to the plate and Kate
Steeper, Karen Williams and Pauline
Brannon at two trips to the plate. Fay
Schenk pounded out a home run in the
sixth inning and adding single hits
were Kelly Phillips and Lori
Devlaeminck.
Debbie Lord was the winning pit-
cher notching up five strikeouts.
In their first quarter final playoff
game against Poplar Hill, the
Crediton squad again took the lead in
the first inning but also left quite a
few runners on base during the game.
Leading Crediton at the plate was
Brenda Iredale with two hits. Karen
Williams pounded out a double in the
fifth inning and single hits came off
the bats of Teresa VanRaay, Lori
Devlaeminck, Fay Schenk, Kathy
Gielen and Judy Steeper. Judy
Steeper has been getting on base the
majority of times but is never
credited for it as she always seems to
be able to draw walks.
Brenda Iredale was the winning pit-
cher for Crediton.
In their second decisive win in
playoffs against Poplar Hill, the
Cowgirls had an excellent offensive
game by pounding in 28 runs as they
had to play all seven innings and on-
ly allowed Poplar Hill five runs which
all came in the sixth inning.
Leading Crediton at the plate and
having a fantastic night was Karen
Williams with three home runs and a
single. Kelly Phillips and Pauline
Brannon had their bats going also
with six hits apiece. Brenda Iredale

ding two hits apiece were Judy
Steeper, Sue Muller, Fay Schenk,

Regier. and Kate Steeper.

for Crediton.
Come out and support your ladies
team as the competition is getting
stiffer and should prove to be good
baseball.
