Centennial Dedication Sunday
Centennial Dedication Sunday was
held in the United Church on Sunday
morning when a number of
memorials and gifts were dedicated.
Mrs. Grace Peck, former resident
of Hensall and now living at Huron -
view, presented the church with one
of her paintings in honour of the 100th
Anniversary of the church building.
The very beautiful painting, depicting
a vacation scene, with a Christian
Church at the centre, will be hung in
a prominent spot in the church.
The second picture was presented
by the United Church Women in lov-
ing memory of members who have
died over the years. This is an enlarg-
ed photo of the church in a lovely
frame and suitably engraved. Taking
part in the dedication of the pictures
was Mrs. Peck and Elva Forrest,
assistant leader of unit four of the
U.C.W., who assisted Mrs. Peck in
unveiling the picture. Audrey Christie
unveiled the picture of the church.

Queensway
This past week has certainly
brought us some beautiful spring
weather. As a result we have been
able to enjoy the colourful flowers
throughout our village during our
walks.
On Monday April 21, the
Presbyterian ladies ran bingo for us.
Everyone had a good time and there
were lots of lucky winners.
Our Ceramics Club is still going
strong. Our work is turning out to be
very colourful and exciting.
Rev. Bob Dannon performed our
church service on Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs.• Donnon was our pianist and
their daughter, Melinda also joined
us.
Our bowlers were off to the Zurich
Bowling Lanes again this month for
letting us put their skills to the test.
Lloyd McDougall captured the high
score for this month with 140 points.
Neil Regan came in second highest
with 113 points.
On Wednesday evening the Men-
nonite Church ladies from Zurich join-
ed us for a special tea party and sing-
song. The ladies brought' in some
home made cookies to have with our
tea. They were delicious! We all had
a wonderful time at the party. Thank
you very much for the cookies and
come again soon!
On Thursday we enjoyed our movie
presentation entitled, "Island of
Hawaii." It was thoroughly enjoyed
by all.
