WILLIAM ROHDE Mrs. Dorothy Heard of St. Marys was a supper guest Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. George Kellett. Mr. and Mts. Robert Jeffery at- tended the 30th wedding anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Don Nairn of St. Marys and the 15th wedding anniver- sary for Mr. and Mrs. Doug Jeffery of Windsor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garrett of Edgewood. There were about 35 people in atten- dance. Congratulations to both couples. Guests at the Smith -Johns wedding Saturday at Elimville United Church were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Waddell, Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sweitzer. Mr. and Mrs. Mary Overholt, David and Sarah, Exeter,- Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Shannon, Katie and Michael. London. Ernest Aube, Woodstock, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johns, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Johns, Kevin, Amy and Caleb. Mr. Aube, and the Shannons stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Steve Johns, the Waddells stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Sweitzer overnight. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pengelly, Ex- eter, and Mr. and Mrs. John Batten, Elimville were Suday evening supper guests with Mt. and Mrs. Dave Passmore, Tom and Jon. The occa- sion being the 12th birthday of Tom. Happy birthday, Tom. The ladies catered to almost 600 people Monday evening at their an- , nual strawberry and ham supper. _ The regular church service and Sunday School will be held at the regular hours on Sunday June 30 at 10 a'm. and 11:15 a.m. Several people from this area at- tended Elimville anniversary service Sunday, the Hill family of Granton sang and Wes Stanley of the Lucan area told the children's story and gave a very inspiring message. GRADUATES — Karen Kathleen Richard has graduated from Westervelt School of Business on May 10, 1985 with a course in Banking Business. She is present- ly employed at Clinton Communi- ty Credit Union of Exeter. Karen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Basil O'Brien of Huron Park. Elimville WI visits Perry's By SHIRLEY COOPER The Elimville Women's Institute met recently at Perry's Originals in Exeter. Shirley Perry showed the members through their new location on Main Street. This was very in- teresting and enjoyed by all. They now sew leisure clothing in many col- ours and. sizes. Mrs. Marjorie Johns thanked Shirley for the tour on behalf of everyone. Members returned to Elimville United Church for the rest of the meeting. Thefoll call was answered by "Were you born on a farm and where? Miss Ruth Skinner reported on the District Annual, the Huron County Historical Society and also the hospital report. Members planning to attend the Federated Women's Institutes of Canada convention at the University of Western Ontario were Mrs. Ron Fletcher. Mrs. Philip Johns, Mrs. Elson Lynn. Mrs. Marjorie Dykeman, Mrs. Ivan Brock, Mrs. Floyd Cooper and Mis`Ruth Skinner. The Jul meeting will be held al the trailer of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Coward's at Turnbull's Grove on Ju- ly 10. at 1 :30 p.m. Mrs. Freeman Horne and Mrs. Murray ('award the Agriculture and Canadian Industries conveners were in charge of arranging the tour and the following program. Mrs. Coward read a poem "The Notion Store". Mrs. Ivan Brock read articles on the "Year of the Youth" and also "Farm Women." Mrs. Olga (fern read an ar- ticle on "A hedge against Invasion." Several from the community at- tended Thames Road Sunday School Anniversary as well as their Strawberry supper The Elimville Sunday School an- niversary was held Sunday morning with a good crowd in attendance. Th%guest speaker was Wes Stanley of the Lucan area and special music was supplied by the Hill family of Granton as well as the Sunday School choir. Mrs. Don Kerslake also assisted on the piano.
