The Dessert Euchre sponsored by
the Clandeboye Women's Institute on
Tuesday at St. James Church had a
good attendance. Some only came for
dessert but others stayed to make 14
tables in play. -
Door prizes went to Agnes Hotson.
Jessie Lewis. Harold Guilfoyle.. Mary
Davis, Joan Cunningham and Mary
Kooy.
• High score was won by Helen
McDonald. Lone hands - Gertrude
Rosser while the low score went to
Margaret Riddell.
Home from Florida
Eleanor and Dave Kestle arrived
home on the weekend from their -
winter holiday in Florida. Dave has
been experiencing- health problems
the past month and was in hospital for
awhile. The trip home by van was
safely made with Eleanor at the
helm. Their many friends hope that
• Dave's health will improve steadily.
Sympathy- of the community is ex-
tended to :Mrs. Elizabeth Conlin and
her family in the sudden loss of their
loved one. Joe Conlin.

LOOK WHAT 1 CAUGHT - Kevin Wallace shows off his catch. Un-
fortunately it was a rock bass and not a trout, so it didn't count in
the competition. The fishing derby on Saturday was sponsored by
the Exeter Lions and the A.B.C.A.

Mrs. Esther Craven, convener ot
resolutions. enlarged on the motto.
Through resolutions many. changes
have come about. The roll call. a
resolution that 1 would like to have
made, 'brought forth a variety of
answers. Mrs. Jean McKichan read
the scripture. after which Esther and
Bea Lee presented a short skit
Bye" and Bea closed the program
with a smile.
The Tweedsmuir history commit-
tee displayed a number of snaps
handed in by the members of old and
new machinery, rail fence, pumps,
wooden silo. bridges. old buildings.
etc. etc., and presently we are in-
terested in securing the names of the
teachers who taught at S.S. No. 8
McGillivray i West school t, also the
names of the pupils.
We are grateful to Ruth McCallum
who shared the silk flowers from her
daughter's wedding to grace our lun-
chtables and the president's table. A
variety of muffin along with a varie-
ty of jams as well as tea was served
by Alice Dickens and committee.
The meeting was closed with the
Queen and Grace.
Correction
-Correction on the happy Gang
seniors' meeting should read euchre
at 1:30 p.m. in Legion hall on May 15;
bus trip to Lion Safari on May 22, and
dinner followed by euchre on the 291h.
