ELEPHANT DANCE -- These two little girls were among the many
who got up lo dance to the songs of Sharon, Lois and Bram. Even
the bleachers at the South Huron District High Scholl were filled with
dancers at the Thursday concerts.
CLOWNING AT THE CONCERT Some of the young audience at
- the Sharon, Lois and Bram concert had pointed faces, courtesy of
the clowns who roomed the long line-ups before the shows began.
With or without the clown faces, all the children seemed to have a
grand time.
HENSALL NURSERY SCHOOL - Between shows of the Sharon, Lois
and Bram concert, there was a dinner where Hensall Nursery School
students and their parents were able to mix with the stars. Here Trudy

meals

-Two sold -out shows! Line-ups that
started more than an hour earl!!! Ex-
eter and area loved Sharon. Lois and
Bram.
The two ' oncerts on Thursday at
South Iluron and District High School
both had them packed in to the rafters
(literally - the bleachers as. well as
every seat were full r, clapping and
singing and dancing in the aisles. A
I(NNl tickets were sold for each show.
Concert Chairperson Kim Genttner
said. "I'm glad we were able to do it.
It was a tremendous amount of
work."
Special guests at the first show
were 50 children bused in from the
Robarts School for the hearing han-
dicapped in London. including Chad -
Taylor of Hensall
The concert was organized by the
Hensall and District Nursery School.
They persevered against the doom-
sayers. As well as Genttner. Sue
Beard and Cass Bayley helped
organize everything. A dinner with
kids from the nursery school. their
parents. and the trio. was held in bet-
ween the shows.

cert, and autographed letters) were
won by Bev Bell and Glenn Ilayter.
Some of the songs that delighted the
children were "Peanut Butter"
" Comin' Round the Mountain
"llumpty Humility'', and the
"Monkey" song. The kids helped sing
rounds, did the actions. and general-
ly seemed to have a great lime.
('loons roamed up and down the
line-ups before both shows. helping
make waiting a little more bearable.
Unfortunately the first show started
about 15 minutes late. The kids al the
first show started to gel a little rowdy
about 15 minutes before the show
ended.
After the show, all the kids from the
Robarts school wanted to hug the
elephant. The elephant was played by
a 'local student. Debra Pfaff. She
learned her steps just a few minutes
before the first show.
All in all. the Sharon. Lois and Barn
concert was a tremendous success.
Area children are likely to be con-
stantly listening to their Sharon. Lois
and Bram albums for the next week.

Council tries
to get drain
Exeter council continued this week
to scek ways to 1inda drainage outlet
to implement the development of the
proposed donut shop at 217 Main Sl.
North.
Reeve Bill Mickle reported at a
special session. Monday. that it was
impossible to put a storm drain on the
east side of Highway 4. north to the
Masimic 1,cxlge prolx•rty, due to other
services located in this area.
Council then decided to seek
easements from Wilbert and Marjorie
Edwards and Arnold Ford. to cross
their properly with a drain.
If those casements are forthcom
ing. council will enter into a develop
meal agreement with the donut shop
owner providing for the following
terms:

Thursday concerts were sponsored by the Hensall Nursery School.
MONKEY BUSINESS - These children are all acting out the "No More Monkies on the Bed" lyric from
the Sharon, Lois and Bram monkey song. Other audience participation at the Thursday concerts includ-
ed clapping, singing rounds and dancing.
THANKS TO THE ORGANIZERS - The organizers of the Sharon, Lois and Brom concert on Thursday
were presented with plant baskets to thank them for all their hard work at the Hensall Nursery School

MEETS THE ELEPHANT Chad Taylor, from the Robarts School for the Hearing Handicapped,
SHARON, LOIS AND BRAM AND ELEPHANT The two concerts by this Toronto group were highly
successful. both were sold out. and there were long line-ups before each show. The elephant is their
trademark.
