"The Church Grows Through Mis-

Patrick, known as St. Patrick
travelled through most of Ireland
preaching the Gospel. When he died
in 461 most of Ireland was Christian;
Augustine, who brought Christianity
td England was the first Archbishop
of Canterbury. After 100 years most
of the people of England were Chris-
tians; Boniface continued to witness
for Christ to the end of his life. At the
age of 75 he was murdered by rob-
bers. He became a martyr. Because
of his devoted work among the Gar -
mans he became known as the "Apos-
tle to the Germans."
