Easter Breakfast
There will be an Easter Sunrise
breakfast and service at 7:00 a.m.,
and a special Easter Sunday cantata
and music at the Zurich Mennonite
Church at 7:30 p.m., directed by
Dorothy Steckle, accompanied by
Grace Martin and Cathy Shantz.
"The Voice of Leo"
At their last meeting, March 18,
there were 19 members and 14 guests
present. Guests were: Pat O'Connor
of San Francisco, California and
Lions from Thamesford and Burford
Lions club.
The special speaker was Lion
David Humble of Burford, who spoke
on "Diabetes - Drug Awarene,ss'.
$1043,00 was collected for the
Faster Seals campaign so far. A good
time was had at the convention in
Guelph over the weekend by those
who attended.
A director's meeting was held at
Richard Erb's, March 25.
Members will be collecting for the
Cancer drive on Monday, May 6
before their meeting.

the Charter Night of Sweaburg Lions
club in Woodstock, recently.
Monday, April 1 was Farmer's
Night and everyone was to bring a

Conference
The Catholic. Rural Life Conference
initiated a seven farm organizations
meeting in London last Friday and
Saturday, held at the Park Lane
Hotel,. on the farm financial crisis.
Bishop John Sherlock was the main
speaker. Several from the Zurich
area attended this very informative
and important two day farm con-
ference and was nice to see our own,
Father Paul Mooney appear on Chan-
nel 10, TV News, as. he is the head of
the Catholic Ruh!' Life Conference
and also a glimpse of Paul Klopp, RR
2, Zurich representing the Ontario
Federation of Agriculture (2nd vice
president of Huron County
Easter Service
An Easter morning sunrise service
will be held at 7 a.m. at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, followed by a
breakfast prepared by the Youth
Group.

"Morning Break" was held at the
United Church on Tuesday, April 2
with a good attendance. •The next
monthly meeting will be on May 7
from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Exchange
Thirty-five young people of the
Mennonite church took part in a
M.Y.F: exchange week -end in Elmira
from the 29-31, at the Bethel Men-
nonite. The children were billeted at

Skating Carnival
Members of the Zurich and Area
figure skating Club and their direc-
tors. president and helpers are to be
commended on a job well done! They
put on a very nice skating carnival on
Sunday at the arena. ' Color Ml
World" was the theme - and all the
bright colorful costumes and songs
depicted it quite well. Also taking part
were the Exeter precession team.

Last weekend Jack and Richard ac-
companied Bill Billington, London, to
attend the hockey play-off games at
Belleville and Oshawa. The Belleville
Bulls, of which Craig Billington is
goalie, defeated the Oshawa
Generals.
Andrew and Alida Rau spent a few
days this past week with their
daughter, Suzanne and Dave Bell in
St. Catharines.
