"It's a real shock" Madeline said
from her home at RR 2 Grand Bend,
where the couple have lived for many
years. She and her husband have been
purchasing Wintario tickets for a long
time but had switched to Pot 'o Gold
tickets. When the saleslady at Zehrs

in Exeter told Madeline the Pot 'o
Gold were discontinued, she bought
the winning Wintario ticket instead.
The couple drove to London on Sun-
day, and flew to Toronto where their
son Jim, met them at the airport.
Madeline said "there were a lot of
happy people at the Wintario head-
quarters" located on Bloor Street in
Toronto.
While in Toronto she said they en-
joyed two of their grandsons' Junior
11 hockey games.
What will she do with her grand bir-
thday present? "We have seven
children and 21 grandchildren" and
should have no problem spending the
money.
Assistant manager, Tom Seip, said
their Zehrs store has not had any big
money winners before, but the Exeter
branch sold a ticket that won a new
car last year. A large sign 'Wesolda
$100,000 ticket' is posted at the booth.
