Pee wees victorious in
three of four games
The Exeter bantam house league
team split a pair of games on the
- --weekend. winking a league game in
Sean McCann on a solo dash and Mar-
ty- DeBruyn on a pass from lan Jean.
In the third period, Steve Stire corn-
-- ruu1r-iday.night_5-3 and -losing__ _-pleted the Exeter scoring with an
an exhibition game to Zurich 1-0 on
Sunday. -
In the Lucan game, the Exeter
team built uta 4-1 lead in the second,
on two goals by Peter Lerikos, and
singlesgoing to David Josephson and
Henri Debruyn, with assists going to
Mike Conlan, Jeff Rowe, Jason
McF'alls, Tom Rolph and Henri
Debruyn.

The I.ucan goal was scored by Bill
Kelly , with assists going to Brian
Ilessets and Marcel Rosch. Lucan
came on strongly in the third.period
to tie the score with only two -and -one-
half minutes left. Scoring were
Marcel Rosch, Pat Kelly and Brian
Ilessels, with assists going to Pat and
Bill Kelly.
With Jess than a minute left in the_
game. David Josephson led a
breakaway pass to Henri Debruyn,
who deked the goalie before tucking
the puck into the empty net for the
winning goal.
Kevin Wallace played a strong
game in goal for Exeter. stopping a
penalty shot in the third period, after
one of the Exeter players was caught
smothering the puck inside the goal
crease.
in the loss to Zurich, Tim Westlake
scored on a pass from Mark Stephen
late in the second period for the only
goal in the game. The goalies. Kevin
Wallace and Brent McDonald for Ex-
eter and Andrew Scot( and Scott
Bedard for-Zur•ich. were the stars in
the game.
Tykes win
The Zurich Tykes, playing their
unassisted effort.
Broncos win
The Exeter -Broncos scored a con-
vincing 9-2 victory over Lucan in
Shamrock atom league action, Sun-
day in Exeter. -
Leading the Broncos with two goals
apiece were Ryan Stuart and Jason
Heywood. Getting single scores were
Steve Farquhar. Joel Smith. Fred
Godbolt and Paul Charrette.
Ryan Lindenfield and Fred Gcxibolt
were the top playmakers with two
assists apiece. Helping on one goal
each were Jason Heywood. Scott Par-
sons and Mark Br-intnell.
Jeremy Jemec and Gary Haskell
were the Lucan marksmen. The only
assist was credited to Robbie Paul.
Pee wees win three
The Exeter Legion pee wees gain-
ed three victories in four starts in the
hockey wars this week. They defeated
Parkhill 3-1 and Mitchell 3-2 in
regular Shamrock league play and
gained a split in two games in a
Legion tournament in Ripley.
In Ripley they downed Seaforth 7-2
and dropped a 3-0 decision to
Winghatn.
Against Mitchell; the locals scored
the first three goals of the game and
then held off a determined hid by the
opposition.

scored in unassisted fashion and Rob
McLelland converted a pass from

Jeff Sararas took the opening face -
(Aland skated in to make lot -0. Thir-
ty seconds later Ryan Soldan made it
2-0 for Exeter.
At the 12 minute mark Chad Des jar -
dine tallied for Zurich and Alan Jef-
frey tied the game 40 seconds into the
third. -
With a minute and ten seconds re-
maining Billy Parker scored the win-
ner in a goal mouth scramble and the
score remained :3-2 for Exeter.
Midgets lose
The visiting Parkhill midgets
posted a 4-1 win over Exeter in
Shamrock league action al the rec•
centre. Wednesday.
The visitors jumped into a 2-0 lead
in the first and upped the margin to
three before Terry Zac•tiar scored Ex-
eter's lone tally in the third on an
unassisted effdrt.
Bantams get split
The Exeter Bantams were dumped
f; 1 in an exhibition contest in
Seatorth.Tuesday. but rebounded to
post a 7-5 win over Parkhill in
Shamrock action at the ree centre the
Wowing night.
Exeter's lone goal in the Seaforth
loss was fired by Jon O'Connor late in
the second period after the hosts had
jumped into a 6-0 lead
Steve Anderson had three goals and
an assist to pace the win over
Parkhill ('Connor added a pair of
markers and singles were fired by
Doug ('lark and Shawn Moore Moore
and ('lark also picked up single
assists as did Mark Coward and Jeff
Knits
The score ser -sawed throughout the
contest and it was finally settled when
Moore and Anderson connected
within a minute of each other mid-
way through the third to break a 5-5
deadlock
