Winners were Jessie Lewis, Carl Morgan. Mrs. Darling, Murray Carter. Marj Steeper: Alma Hodgins won the door prize. Pete Coleman having the highest score. 4b2 points. from April to June was the high score winner, while Mrs. Elmer Walker was the second winner with a score of 437 points. Congratula- tions. This was the last Lioness euchre. The Activity Centre Committee sponsored a bus trip to Hamilton Place. June 20 to see that extravagaza - the Geritol Hollies. Stops were also made at Ancaster for lunch, the Hamilton Rose Gardens. A hot buffet dinner al Cambridge was enjoyed on the return. trip. The "('entre" committee is also busy preparing for the shuffleboard tournament tor July 18. and a float for (he Gala Days parade on July 21. Local tournaments are• held on the shuffleboard court every second Mon- day evening. Won't you come and join in the fun'' This year for the annual bus trip. William Anson Jones, was a Medical Doctor who practised his pro- fession in Clandeboye from 1896-1914, then moving to Ottawa. Alvin Jones has just recently donated all of his father's medical equipment to the F anshawe Museutn, in London. Dr. Win. Arisen Jones was a brother to Francis .tones. Cabinet Maker in Clandeboye from 1850-1894. Francis .Jones' collection of Cabinet Maker Tools are on display in the National Museum of Man in Ottawa. Francis Jones' son, E.D. Jones, whom a few older people from this area still remember, was married to 1ary Ann Simpson. an aunt to the late Maurice Simpson and Mrs. Emi- ly Tomes. K.O. STAN PRESZCATOR The 33rd annual Glanville reunion was held on Sunday at Seaforth Lion Park with 70 in attendance. A ball game was held in the after- noon and then a smorgasbord supper which opened by Richard Horst say- ing Prace President Chas Hayden thankea everyone for coming and thanked the ladies for a delicious supper. Minutes of the meeting were read by secretary Carlene Glanville. President for 1986 is Gordon Miller, Secretary Lorna Finkbeiner; vice- president for 1987 is Roy Glanville and secretary Leona Bissonette. Sports committee is Betty Glan- ville. Sports were conducted by Doreen McRoberts. She played the price is right, coming the farthest Steve Glanville Delta B.C. Youngest baby Kevin Robbins, four months, oldest person Johny Glan- ville. A peanut and candy scramble was held for the children. The 1986 picnic will be held same place and July 8 next year.
